The heroine Giselle is no shrinking violet and takes no rubbish, she's just as alpha as the boys, Asher is a jerk I'm definitely on team Damien, plenty of 'witchy business'! This was a great start to a new series and I can't wait to start book 2 to see how it develops, the narration by Kelli Tater was amazing.”
Midnight Secrets (Book 1/4)
“This was the beginning of a new vampire series in the academy setting, it was a different approach from what I'm used to, but incredibly good, with very versatile narration. January, is just trying to survive being a new vampire, Justin offers to help, despite being a jerk. January is being hunted, but it seems Justin is trying to protect her and sabotage her attempts to enter Blackwood Academy. This was an amazing read/listen ,i was hooked from page 1, I can't wait to start book 2.
I received this book in exchange for my unbiased review.”
Perdition
“Epic battle for hell!
An action-packed, fast-paced end to the series, this was the best of the series, I couldn't stop and was so upset when I finished the book!! Hailey and her mates pull together to raise an army to save hell, the party is in the Sacred Forest, come and meet, Hades, Anubis and the gang! I can't recomend this book highly enough it is amazing!”
Queen of Dragons
“This was a fantastic tale of life after the fairytale, about sleeping beauty's adopted daughter. The premice was exciting and the story engaging, which kept my interest to the end, the narration was excellent only enhancing the story, bringing it to life. Princess Azia's just turned 18, and despite her parents fairy tale romance her father has arranged a marriage to an old friend who hints at secrets being kept,
the dragons are agitated, and there unrest in the kingdom. I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait for the next one.”
My Cat is the AntiChrist
“So the Antichrist is a hairless cat in a jumper, and the heroine, Tabitha's twin brother - that's original and mind boggling! The book was hilarious and kept me laughing to the end, and I wouldn't mind meeting those horsemen, especially with the steamy encounters! Unfortunately the narration ruined the book for me, the snorting, laughing and bedroom sounds just annoyed me!! I'd give this book the full 5 stars, if I was reading the ebook, I would even recomend using a text to speech app, but the book is worth it.”
Lethal Shadow
“I loved The Sapphire Scythe so I jumped straight in to this book, I wish I could say it was just as amazing, the book itself was pretty good, but the narration was awful - always check the sample! I was uncomfortable at all the sound effects the narrator added, and the random laughter she added. Book 2 sees a return of Cade, Liliana must sort out her mate problem and team up with Aria and her mates to put a stop to his machinations.”
The Sapphire Scythe
“An action packed book with a very capable heroine who would rather go to war than mate her boring betrothed! But Aria has to choose between three potential mates her parents sent her while trying to stop a war. I was enthralled by the story from the start, I loved that Aria was able to take care of business and her mates were happy to let her. Things between the four were highly emotional, it was heart wrenching as Aria faced losing two of her men when she would have to choose, Jennifer Whiskey's narration expressed the feelings wonderfully. I can't wait to start book 2”
Cruel Elites: A New Adult Prison Academy Novel
“I absolutely loved this book, I'm so excited this is only the beginning of what promises to be a fabulous series. The plot is intense with the fae all competing for one chance to become independant - and the competition is cut throat, the characters are are easy to become invested in, I was hooked from the beginning and finished the book in one sitting, I can't wait 'til book 2 is available on audiobook.”
Cadets: Three Complete Novels
“I liked the premise of the book being set in alternate universe, the conspiracy in the top ranks of the military was quite riveting and kept me listening through all three books. The story was darkly erotic, with plenty of steamy, graphic action and instances of dubious consent which emphasized the cadets helplessness and forced submission. The narrator Elliott Daniels had a very pleasant voice.”
Quest of the Dreamwalker
“A breath taking start to a new series filled with magic, adventure and romance. This book had me hooked from the beginning, I was drawn into a magical new world of possibilities as the author and narrator held me spellbound! There is so much detail and back story carefully woven in to create a vivid world and colourful characters that me felt like I knew them, and there is a very surprising twist! I can't wait for the next book, I need to know what happens next, and I want to hear more from narrator Zachary Johnson, what a voice!”
Jinxed: Toxic Bitchcraft Book One
“This book made me laugh, it was full of witchy attitude and snark. Christi is from a powerful line of witches but has little of her own, what she does have is a love sick incubus, a childhood crush and a poltergeist with attitude and a mysterious death. Also a meddling mother who knows no boundaries who decides to help Christi along with a little hex! Seriously funny. I definately can't wait for book 2 to arrive on audible”
False Prey: A Wildfire Novella (Book 1.5)
“A brief view into life in a small town that chose self isolation to avoid the flu, how its population is affected by the events going on around them. Reporter Danny encounters a fear driven mob worked into a frenzy by an influential town inhabitant and the local police as they lead the mob to deliver judgement on an outsider, an alledged spy, Thomas. Another fantastic read in the Wildfire series read by James Romick.”
Firestorm: The Wildfire Saga, Book 3
“13 vs Jane!
What can I say, this series just keeps getting better, there seems to be no end to Reginald's machinations, his pet pandemic is off its leash and sweeping its way across the globe, and the teams keep losing good men. Chad just wants freedom and anonymity now they've perfected the serum, and 13 & Cooper have vengeance on their minds. Denny's struggling with his concience over the Russians, and hiding from the mini dictators set up by President Baron, now running his town and terrorising its population. A masterpiece of intrigue and suspense that kept me captive to the end and begging for more!”
The Shift: The Wildfire Saga, Book 2
“Well things aren't looking good for Cooper and his team there are more missions and threats and the pandemic continues. Just when I think I can follow the corruption - theres more! Reginald's reach is long, and it looks like Jane's been a very busy girl. Chad, the Source, can't seem to stay safe and just who is '13'? This book is action-packed, a wild ride and just when you think you've heard it all - theres more, all in the deliciously smooth voice of James Romick, I need book 3!!”
Apache Dawn: The Wildfire Saga, Book 1
“This was quite the epic saga to get into, but what a wild ride! A masterpiece of political corruption & intrigue, and a well orchestrated invasion, with a nasty little pandemic thrown in to add to the suspense! The back story of the main characters is lengthy, but it helps later when you get to know the characters and their roles in the story, my favourite characters were Cooper and Denny! It wasn't long before I was totally engrossed and despite 18 hours I was disapointed when I got to the end! James Romick provides wonderful narration and helps bring this book to life, I need book 2!”
Elendil
“I really enjoyed this book, it was action packed, full of intrigue and some great alien romance! Aubriana starts out as a teenager with a chip on her shoulder about her absent mother, when she suddenly finds out her mother is an alien and ends up in the middle of a royal coo, its time for her to grow up. There are plenty of plot twists to keep this book rivetting, I'm really hoping there will be a sequel. Unfortunately the narrator was a bit flat, but overall that didn't ruin my enjoyment of this book”
Zombieville
“Chris the zombie rules!
An unique zombie book with a strange twist. I liked Raven, she was different and not willing to bow to small town values, and it seems like a perfect match when she meets Spencer, but he's got secrets and plans. I loved Chris the zombie, he spent his whole life protecting his brother Spencer 'til it gets him killed, even as a zombie he spends his time worrying about Spencer and his plans. I loved this book, it was different and I felt that Chris the zombie was the hero of the story!”
Nightscape
“Wow I loved this book, it gave me some serious chills, the whole series of events that lead to Bonnie reuniting with her son was scary, but nothing compared to the nightmare that begins to unfold as they try to deal with the strange changes happening to Evan. Nothing is as it seems, including their allies, who could be more dangerous than the unknown. I was shocked at the strange turn as the danger stalking Evan an Bonnie comes from a different source, it left me wrung out as Bonnie is faced with another impossible choice. Definately a must read.”
Abducted
“A very steamy abduction fantasy, with four hot alpha Vakarran warriors determined to win their mate using whatever means necessary.
Its not just 'sizzling' bedroom scenes, the story's absorbing and has some surprising plot twists, definately an enjoyable read and narrated nicely by Dahlia Lynde”
Mated: Their Vampire Princess A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance, Book 4
“Felicity and her mother are accused of Treason, She and her men escape with the hope to return and reclaim the crown and rescue the queen. Book 4 reveals a surprising admission from Thomas that my help reclaim the crown, and they receive some surprising news! I loved the ending, just disappointed that the series is over.”
Turned Their Vampire Princess, Book 3
“A fast paced plot with strong characters, especially those you love to hate! As soon as Felicity's cousin Diana was introduced and started her machinations, I knew I wanted her to meet a nasty end, but she definately adds intrigue to the story, the book ended to soon - can't wait to start book 4!”
Varick’s Quest
“The fourth book in the Devya's Children, an exciting story of what happen's when doctors play God and mess with peoples genetics. The story centres on Varick, who just wants to keep his family safe, and find Nadia who's been kidnaped. He's also started college with Danielle and there's the possibility of something romantic between them.”
Malia’s Miracles
“I enjoyed this book and liked premise of Malia and her kin, and the question should they risk dicovery to help Chrisy's mother. By trying to save Christy, they expose themselves to danger. The story is engaging and the characters interesting, I'm looking forward to starting Varick's Quest.”
Innova
“This book gave me the shivers, the thought of religion being outlawed and freedom of thought banned is terrifying! The arrest and realisation that her visions were coming true was scary, but I loved that Jenna and David's faith and marriage was strong and they were willing to fight. I was disappointed when I reached the end of the book and wanted to know more about 'the accident' that led to the visions!”
Inferno: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Academy Romance
“Before Hayley, her mares and allies can put their plan into motion, betrayal is exposed and family to rescue. This book was a real emtional roller coaster, as Hayley celebrates her last mate, she and her allies are left realing from betrayal! I loved the poetic justice that Reece faced, it was the high light of the book for me, and the betrayal left me feeling desperate for the next book!”
Fire And Brimstone: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance
“I loved this book, it was a fantastic start to the series, I loved the way Lucifer was portrayed as a doting daddy, and the family cat did remind me of Red Dwarf's Cat (thank you reviewer London Lass!) I just see Cat's face when I picture Keene in my mind! I found the story addictive once I got past Hayley's brattiness, I just found it a dhame it took something so drastice to see Keane in a new light and stop blaming him for everything. I absorbed the book in one sitting and was so disappointed I'd reached the end, I've got book 2 ready to go!”
Crowned: Their Vampire Princess A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance, Book 2
“The honeymoon is over and Felicity has yet to choose a prince, then disaster strikes and one of her men is hurt. There is a prophesy that holds hope for Felicity and her men, but will it be accepted. The talevcontinues with plenty of intrigue, suspence and heart breaking romance.”
Chosen: Their Vampire Princess, Book 1
“I enjoyed this book, it was a vampire romance, and reminded me a bit of 'Love Island'! What happens when you have to choose only one but your heart demands all four suitors! A good read but a bit short.”
Hellfire
“This book was even better than the first, Hayley has dropped the awful brattiness, and even has empathy for her mates, and she and her mates are closer than ever. There is still a cloud on their horizon, the hell hounds are still up to something and Keene's poisoner is still free, but Lilith's on the trail! This was an amazing read that I couldn't stop, I just can't wait to start book 3, Inferno!”
Fire and Brimstone
“I loved this book, it was a fantastic start to the series, I loved the way Lucifer was portrayed as a doting daddy, and the family cat did remind me of Red Dwarf's Cat (thank you reviewer London Lass!) I just see Cat's face when I picture Keene in my mind! I found the story addictive once I got past Hayley's brattiness, I just found it a dhame it took something so drastice to see Keane in a new light and stop blaming him for everything. I absorbed the book in one sitting and was so disappointed I'd reached the end, I've got book 2 ready to go!”
Freedom
“This was an enjoyable, well written book with engaging characters that will hold your attention, and a great ghost story that will thrill the kids - a perfect camp fire story! Jenny and Penny's tale is incredibly touching, and does have happy ending, I would definately recomend this book,”
For the Love of Cupidity
“This book was an amazing end to ML' adventures, she's grown up a bit, but still spreading her chaos! I loved ML's way of dealing with new recruits, and her in-laws, and the birth of her mini cupid was hilarious! This book is not one to miss, its just too funny!”
Crimes of Cupidity
“Trust me, I'm a cupid!
Famous last words! A mission for the queen ends in disaster as she's pulled back to Cupidville to answer for veil violations, and ML's chaos strikes again, a fight for the terminate button has surprising results, and the missions back on. ML returns to devestating news, betrayal and a psychotic prince still hunting for her. I'm hooked on ML's adventures, she's so naive and rightous, always seeing the good in people, and the trouble in the fay realm just rubs her the wrong way making her want to go all 'demonic' on the psychotic prince! ML's chaos and jokes had laughing 'til I cried, and the betrayal, and sadness made me cry, and seriously wrung out by the end of the book, I can't stop here, I need to start book 4, its so addictve!”
Bonds of Cupidity
“This book has been a complete emotional roller-coaster, from laugh out loud to crying, and edge of the seat drama! ML is adorable and naive, and incredibly funny, to know her is to love her, as her men discover! i can't stop here book 3 is calling me!”
Signs of Cupidity
“This book was had me laughing from start to finish, I couln't get enough, I devoured it in one sittiing. ML is hilarious, she's charmingly naive, a trouble magnet and has a heart of gold. When her wish comes true, but it isn't everything she hoped for, there are some serious downsides, and her misadventures are side splitting, I can't wait to start book 2!”
The Blood Will Dry
“Bring your box of tissues, the emotion this book provoked from the first page had me balling my eyes out! The heroine's Diana, story is beyond heart breaking as she relives the day of the attack, and how she has been 'numb' for five years, the arrival of Brian being the catalyst to shock her into facing her loss. I really liked Daisy, Diana's friend and the other half of the 'double d', together they stumble on the answer to their fight, after Diana goes full on 'rodeo' on a bug! This book is an emotional roller-coaster and a great read, and should not be missed!”
The Complete Artifact Reaper Saga
“I really enjoyed this boxset, it didn't take me long to get through it, I just had to keep going! I liked the heroine Christine, but felt she was a bit too much of a 'pleaser' and let everyone around her dictate her life, her pushy parents who seemed to be wrapped up in themselves, her friend's brother who blames her for her friends death, and the council who everyone is afraid of.
It seems she's set up to fail from the start, beginning a sequence of events that just snowballs, and every move she makes just digs herself a deeper hole to get out of. The demon, Damion, seems to have too many motives to count and a split personality, I was never sure which version of Damion was going to turn up next! Charley turned out to be a bit of a surprise, very supportive despite their differences, but I think I liked Dax the best, I think he could've developed into a bigger part in the story.
The narrator Shelley Reece was a pleasant surprise, and would look for books narrated by her in the future, as well as by Jen L. Grey.”
Magic and Misconduct: A Paranormal Academy Bully Romance
“This book sounded great from reading the blurb, but it a very slow build up, the heroine seemed very naive and the romance was on the tame side. However I do think its a great premise, and has the potential to be a fantastic series, I wasn't too keen on the narrator Chase Ripley, he has a nice voice, but I don't feel it fit the book very well. I'd definately be interested in reading the second book in the series.”
Slayers Give Happy Endings
“The fifth and final instalment of the Slayer's Reverse Harem series. This series started off very light hearted and fun, progressing quickly to a dark and intense story line, but still retaining its humour. This book saw the final battle between Belle and 'Paul' on halloween - her twenty first bithday, before the 'slayers' power drove her mad, something none of her predecessors managed to do. This book was heart breaking to read as Belle suffered and fought to succeed against Paul, and her men struggled to let her do what she needed to do, and sweet as they showed their love and support. I've enjoyed every book in this series, and I'm sure I'll read it many more times, narrator Melissa Schwairy brought this series to life with her expressive voice, this series should not be missed!”
Devils Are Prickly Bastards
“The fourth book in the series, and things are just getting darker and more intense. The questions about the origins of 'dark unknown' are answered, and is the Devil really the bad guy or misunderstood?! So many more questions, and an answer Belle doesn't want to share! An emotional rollercoaster, but too good to put down, I need the next book!!”
Stakes Have Sword Envy
“An action packed third instalment of the Slayer's Reverse Harem series. Belle continues to kick-a$$ and take names, and grows into her role of heroine. The drama increases as threat grows, and answers dangled just out of reach along with more questions! This series has grown more addictive with each book, with a good dose of humour, I have the next book ready and can't wait to get started!”
Cuddling Sucks in Coffins
“A fast burn, reverse harem, paranormal romance. this was written in the same style as book 1, plenty of laughs, but the story is starting to get a little darker as Belle faces another slayer who can save her from the darkness if she betrays one of her men. The decision Belle faces was hard to read about, and the changes in the people around her from the encroaching darkness was really sinister and gave me chills! I really enjoyed this book, and Melissa's narrating style, I can't wait to start book 3!
Edit Review”
Vampires Don’t Give Hickeys
“This book was a fast burn, reverse harem, with some very steamy scenes! I felt this was not a 'serious' paranormal romance but a very fun read with a lot of hot and heavy scenes, and an a@@-kicking heroine! The narrator Melissa Schwairy was a joy to listen to as always. I enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to starting book 2.”
Even Zombie Killers Get the Blues
“This book was a military point of view of the zombie apocalypse, and the rebuilding efforts. I really enjoyed the jokes and snark of Nick's team and his laid back leadership style. Brits feistiness is really funny, and the propensity to shoot idiots is a welcome addition to the team! I really hope theres another book!”
Twisted Mind (Twisted World, #1.5)
“This book is from Jackson Star's point of view, and definately not for the faint of heart. I don't know how Jackson was able to hide his true nature from Meg for so long, he does make a very sinister villain, and she does seem surprisingly naive! I was on the edge of my seat, desperately hoping for Donaghy to survive Jackson's plans, and for the James family to get away unscathed! I really enjoyed this book, it was very dark, intense and full of suspense.”
Twisted Fate (Twisted World, #3)
“I really enjoyed this book, its action packed, dramatic and an emotional rollercoaster to the very end! There were some very intense scenes as the James family finally take on the CDC. I was hooked from the first book, and had to keep going to find out how it all ended, I'm just disappointed I finished them so quickly!”
Twisted Memories (Twisted World, #2)
“I Loved this book, it had a very dark feeling, even the zombies had nothing on the CDC! It was shocking the lengths they went to, so twisted, I'm in awe of Kate L Mary's imagination, as well as a little scared! I need to start the next book, this one unfortunately ended on a cliff-hanger!”
Twisted World (Twisted World, #1)
“A community living in fear, a corrupt government, Meg begins to realise that all is not as it seems in her world after her father disappears and she has to shoulder the responsibility for her family. I really liked Meg, and her persistance to uncover the conspiacies and lies. I can't wait to start the next book, this is a series I want to follow!”
Sever: Washington Dead City Book 3
“I was shocked at the turn of events Asher had to deal with, and what happened to Sean and Marie left me speachless! Its hard to believe its over, This has been an amazing series and I hope to read many more books by Brian Parker.”
Rend: Washing Dead City Series Book 2
“The new Presidents wish to retrieve some priceless artifacts from Washington sets into motion a horrifying turn of events that leave FBI agent Allison and CIA operative 'kestrel' scrambling to stay alive and ahead of the zombie horde. I really liked Asher's attitude towards violence, he's exactly who you need in the zombie apocalypse! I thought Allison was a bit too focused on being an over achiever, over the small things like surviving! I can't wait to see what disaster and gore awaits in book 3!”
Gnash
“This book starts with USA suffering a terrorist attack, but as if thats not enough, a foreign power takes heavy handed steps to contain the problem, causing ever increasing nightmares for the survivors. I really enjoyed this book, there is non-stop action and plenty of gore, with a dash of romance thrown in, book 2 here I come”
Hellbeast
“What an adventure! I loved this book, the epic battle over earth, can they hope to stop the demons? I loved how Eva kept fighting to stop the demons, to save her daughter, I cried at Eva & Madden's sacrifice, what a shocking twist at the end!”
Hellbounce
“This was an interesting take on the apocalypse, very different from other books I've read. I really liked Eva and Madden, but Gideon was truly creepy! I didn't like ARC they reminded me more of a bond villains organisation, I'll see what direction book 2 takes me.”
The Hollow
“This was a very sweet YA paranormal romance, with a dark twist. Teen prodigy Carol loves Matthew, has always loved him, he is her anchor, she knows in the way she knows a lot of things, the way she 'feels' things, sne doesn't know how, she calls it the 'hollow'. Carol finds out she's been betrayed by her parents, she's in danger and being watched. I found mr. Fredericks to be a dark and twisted character, he gave me the chills the lengths he was willing to go to any lengths to get what he wants, Carol's power. I really enjoyed the romance between Carol and Matthew, it was so sweet, he was her rock. I feel that the book didn't keep the same pace, that it lost momentum, but I still enjoyed it, the narrator Anna Grace Conover had a nice voice, very pleasant to listen to.”
Her Alien Doctors
“While trying to look after her family, Jenny is caught stealing and is sent to a 're-education' centre in preperation for being sold as an alien bride. After being caught in some trouble at the facility, a defiant Jenny is sent to the medical unit for special medical training, where she catches the interest of three doctors. I really liked the close relationship that built between Jenny and her three doctors, and their attempt to romance her. I found the description of the BDSM play interesting and believable, the 'age play' area of the relationship was well written and added with careful consideration. A very enjoyable book!”
Bite of the Fallen (Book Four in the Born Vampire Series)
“The drama continues for Lisbet and her family, its been quiet for 35 years, but the drones have returned. Lisbet, Knight and Arthur have to face the possibility that things will never be the same again for their family or humanity. I was on the edge of my seat as Lisvet fought for her life and finally started working out things with Arthur. I can't wait until book 5 is available!”
War of the Chosen
“OMG! This book was so amazing, a total emotional rollercoaster, I was alternately laughing and crying through out the book! I did find it a bit frustrating that it took Lisbet so long to make up with Knight and it was hilarious how he leveled the playing field. I was sad for Arthur - I never saw that coming! Ellora Sen-Gupta's narration was good, she has a lovely voice to listen to. I'm diving straight into book 4, I need to know if Lisbet's vision will come true!”
Child of the Outcast
“Lisabet is devestated by the loss of Knight, and life just gets more complicated when cosequences of her action come to light. Things are getting dangerous with the Turned, she is forced to take control, and make changes to the Order that are long overdue! I loved that Lisabet has matured and is finally thinking for herself. Book 3 here I come!”
Knight of the Hunted
“From one act of kindness, Lisbeth's life spirals out of control, and she starts to question the laws she followed for 400 years and her beliefs. I enjoyed Lisbet's and Knight's friendship, but was heartbroken it took her so long to realise how she felt, and shocked at what she does in the aftermath! I really enjoyed this book and will be starting book 2 straight away!”
