Vampires Don’t Give Hickeys

Description

“Marry the devil…or die.” That’s the ultimatum Belle Harrison, vampire slayer, just received from a demon. Belle has only one response: To hell with him.

Turns out it’s not that easy, though – apparently the devil doesn’t know the meaning of the word no. Lucky for Belle, three pantie-melting vampires come to her aid. Three hot vampires she can’t resist. Hey, we all have our vices. Hers just happen to have fangs.

She’s going to need these three to help her thwart the devil’s marriage proposal and defeat the terrifying dark force that wants her dead.

ok I think I’ve said it before that I’m not usually into paranormal romance but I heard people raving about this book so I had to give it a try and I’m so glad I did , I absolutely loved it , I think I’m converted .
what more can you want from a book than a vampire slayer and 3 sexy vamps trying to lure her to the ‘dark side’ the narrator was amazing too it felt like the scenes were playing out in front of you, it just sucked you in and kept you hooked the whole time
I cant wait to listen to the rest of the series.

VAMPIRES DON’T GIVE HICKEYS is the first book in the Slayer’s Reverse Harem series. They will need to be read in the order of release.

Anytime someone says “slayer,” we all immediately compare to Buffy. There is no comparison. There is no Angel, Spike, or any of the rest of the Scooby gang. Instead, there are three hot, hunky, undead men who are devoted to Belle before she is introduced to them. Eddie, Jacek, and Sawyer are Belle’s harem of hotties and each is uniquely able to help Belle in her duties as the slayer and to grow as a person.

I like that it was a short story, but not rushed. I loved that there were touches of humor to keep it being as dark as the graveyard. Finally, one of the main things that I like is that the story (and Belle) didn’t immediately fall into a foursome. Instead, she – and we – gets to know all three of the new men in her life as individuals and as more than just their fangs.

This is the first I have read from this author, but I would love to read her other series. I’ll be diving into book two of this series this week!

Narration: I think I’ve found a new favorite! She does a beautiful job of creating a scene in the mind whether it is suspense, lust, humor, intensity, or anything in between.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

I loved everything about this book. It was different than what I typically listen too. I really enjoyed the relationship Belle had with each vamp and look forward to reading more

I really enjoyed this one. I love a great vampire story. The hot meter was off the charts. I liked how she has special moments with each of them. The suspense was really intriguing and kept me so anxious to finish the story. This is the first in the series and I will definitely finish the series to see how things unfold. The narrator did a great job.

Vampires Don’t Give Hickeys by Holly Ryan is book one in The Slayer’s Reverse Harem series that I listened to on audio narrated by Melissa Schwairy.

This is the first book of Holly’s that I read and it definitely won’t be my last. The book does end on a cliffhanger but that’s okay because books two thru five are already released on audible.

Melissa did a great job on her narration. This is my first time listening to her work. I liked that she used different tones for the characters so it made it easy to follow along. I did have to listen to the story at 1.5 speed because otherwise it was to slow for me.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Vampires or Reverse Harem books.

This book was a fast burn, reverse harem, with some very steamy scenes! I felt this was not a ‘serious’ paranormal romance but a very fun read with a lot of hot and heavy scenes, and an a@@-kicking heroine! The narrator Melissa Schwairy was a joy to listen to as always. I enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to starting book 2.
