Something Wicked

Description

If she could make it through her first semester without killing anyone…that’d be great.

San Francisco Bay Coven has been torn apart and no one feels this more than Mika Marshall. Kenzie Kavanagh exposed her father and brother’s betrayal.

So Mika is starting at the University of Morgana a semester late and praying to the Fates that she’ll be able to catch up and graduate with her class. But as a witch with an undeclared specialty she’s trying not to bring too much attention to herself.

Because Mika has a secret and if she doesn’t learn to control her powers, people will die.

This is a slow burn reverse harem academy series. All paranormal books by Emma Dean exist in the same world – the Council of Paranormals.

I really loved this book and let me say Mika and Audry were so great. The author does a great job with the characters and the world building in this series, While I did not read the other books in the same universe I was not lost in the story like so many other books tend to make you feel. The narrator is great and I can not wait to listen to the rest of the series

This was the first book by Emma Dean I had listened to, and I definately want more! it was an interesting story that sucked me in from the beginning and kept me hanging on for more, full of intrigue and suspense and exciting characters. Mika makes a great heroine, determined to keep her distance from everyone to ‘protect her secret’, but the friends she unintentially makes are irresistable along with the amazing array of romantic interests, ‘why choose’ indeed! This was a great first instalment, I’m hooked and can’t wait to start the next book.

The first book in the series and what can you say it’s amazing. I can’t wait to listen to the other books. Love the universe that the author has created as well as the characters. It’s definitely a must listen. Emma dean is an amazing author nd love the narrator as well.
