My Profile

Reckless Mate “This is the third installment in the Mystic River Shifters series and is about Kyra and Scott. As with the other books in this series, this book was really good. Kyra is the town deputy and Scott is a baker, who is trying to hide in plain sight. This book has some suspense and Kyra was determined to find out about Scott since she did not think he was where he said he was from. The smexy scenes were also great. Hopefully Kyra’s brother will find his mate. Dan Levy did a great job with the narration.”
The Sentinel “This book was so good! I love the books about the men and women who work for Cerberus. When they find the one, they are obsessed and possessive of her. J. T. Farrell did his usual awesome job with the narration.”
The Rookie “I absolutely love the Club Southside series and this was a great story with lots of suspense. This book kept me guessing who was the culprit. It made me not trust anyone except Dillon and Seth, Pippa's brother. Pippa was a curvy comedian and Dillon, who was recently fired from his job as a detective (I hated how they did that) and now new to Cerberus, was assigned to protect Pippa. The ending and how everything came together was very nice. As always, JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Runaway Mate “This is Winter and Sean's story. Winter was not happy about being forced to mate Sean and even runs away, but was found by him a couple of years later. This was so good and a great addition to the Mystic River Shifters series. I always look forward to anything Ms. James writes. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Unexpected Mate “This is Annie and Deke's/the Finder's story. Annie is Zak's sister from Suspicious Mate. This was a great addition to the series. Deke is a predator and when he scents his mate Annie, he took her to his home, which was in a cave. It seemed like a really modern and sophisticated cave considering the electronics he had in there. He ravishes her and even bites her, which later causes some issues. When he leaves the cave, she escapes. After Annie's escape, Deke was bound and determined to find her. I love how Ms. James writes her heroes when they find their mates. This was a very good book. As always, JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Shameless Mate “As with other Delta James' books, this one was so good! This is the fourth book in the Mystic River Shifters series! Mark, Nova's mate, left her behind when he was banished by her father. Nova's father was horrible but she was one tough, strong young woman to fight against him and stand her ground, even when he caged her. Mark later returns. So good! Great second chance. Nothing against the previous narrator; although he was good, I am so glad JT Farrell did the narration for this book. He did an awesome job, as usual.”
Suspicious Mate “This is book 1 of the Otter Cove Shifters series and it was so good! Sara was forced to mate Curt. He was horrible! When she tried to leave, he severely beat her and she ended up in the hospital. A group of women called Shadow Sisters help her escape. Her new name is Sienna. She moves to Otter Cove in Alaska where she stays with her friend, Annie (Annie has issues of her own). She meets Annie's brother Zak and he realizes that she is his mate. Curt is looking for her and finds her. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next one. We got a little taste of it at the end of this book. JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Sinful Claim “This is my first Bella King book and I enjoyed her writing. I was drawn to this book based on the blurb and the cover. This is a good mafia romance with a surprise pregnancy. Alexander's reaction to the pregnancy was great. I like that this is a steamy standalone and there isn't any cheating though at times, Alexander could be a bit much, especially given his line of work. Lila Kerry did a good job with the narration.”
The Pledge “Really good addition. Con was something else. He has quite the stamina. What an ending and nice setup for another book. Who were the killers? JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Bold “Let me say that I love this series! I am sorry each book is not longer. Evie and Cash met when she wanted to sell a prized bull, Royal. He realizes she is his bonded spirit. This was a great short story especially when, as her mate, Cash takes over the ranch and he takes total control and has them working together. There were several villains and Cash was able to handle them. There was lots of suspense and we still do not know who killed Cyrus. I cannot wait for the next book. Xander Marceaux did a great job with the narration.”
Fearless “The Ghost Cat Canyon series just keeps getting even better. It is so good. There are lots of players and, at this point, I cannot tell who all the bad guys are. When Clay told/showed Serena his secret, she ran. Unfortunately, had she stayed after his confession, she would have been his alibi. He surprised me at the end of the book by what he did to save Serena. Kennedy is a kick @ss lawyer fighting to save Clay. I hope the horrible sheriff gets his in the end. I am looking forward to the last book in the series to find out who killed Cyrus. Ms. James is an awesome author. Xander Marceaux did a great job with the narration”
Strong “This was a great conclusion to the "who killed Cyrus" story. Cyrus was an absolutely horrible person and any number of people could have killed him. I figured it out in the second half of the book. Kennedy is the type of lawyer anyone in trouble would want to have represent them. It was nice to have all of the brothers together in this book. Delta James is an awesome storyteller and I look forward to listening to any and everything she writes. It would also be nice to catch up with the brothers and their mates. Xander Marceaux did a great job with the narration.”
Hampton “This was a very good short smexy book. It was pretty much insta-love and, like the other books in the series, it was very enjoyable. I love how Mandy handled the attorney she was playing pool with in the bar. He thought he was a b@d@ss but she showed him otherwise. It was great! I also like that Mac and Willa were in this book. JT Farrell did his usual awesome job with the narration.”
High Roller “I really enjoyed this book and absolutely loved Axel. He was wonderful! It was great how he planned a meet up with Tori since he knew she was his mate. At times, Tori could be a pain. Axel was so patient and protective of her. I would love to know how things turned out at the end after he bit her. JT Farrell did a wonderful job with the narration.”
Mac “I did not realize this is Reclaiming Willa until I started listening. I enjoyed it again. Willa and Mac are back together after he leaves for five years to pursue his career (a nice promotion). Mac is an alpha male and Willa is a wild one who pretty much does what she wants. Mac is back in Arizona looking for a fugitive and he tries to protect her after she comes in contact with Eastwick, the fugitive. Eastwick confesses to the murder of his wife to Willa. Eastwick escapes before Mac could catch him and he shoots Mac. While at the hospital, Willa escapes but Mac ends up catching her. He places her in custody for her protection because Eastwick may come after her. He even punishes her when he feels she needs it. This was a very good book. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Feral Oath “This is the second book in the series and it was great! This is Zia and Serena's sister Raffi's story. Ms. James is an awesome author and one of my favorites. JT Farrell is one of the best narrators in the industry. He crushed it, as usual.”
Dragon Storm “This is a great start to a new series, Reign of Fire. Darius won and is now the Alpha of his clan. He was advised to find a mate and he finds Aria. Although I missed JT Farrell, James Amherst did a great job with the narration.”
Defiant Vow “This book was so good! Serena is Zia and Raffi's younger sister. Serena is on Aries yacht with her model friend. Aries allowed them to do a shoot to get closer to Serena. It was awesome when he had a model removed when she insulted Serena saying he could choose any of them but he chose the fluffy one. Had to admire him for that. I also like how the three factions came together with a common goal. Lots of suspense and a surprise twist. JT Farrell, as always, did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Ice Dog “This short book was a nice addition to the Mercenary Masters series. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Both main characters were great and likeable. I like that Jordan made an appearance and had a very important role. JT Farrell, as always, did a great job with the narration.”
Enigma “This is the last book in the Alpha Brotherhood series and was very good. The punishments were a bit long though. But, all in all, it was an enjoyable book. Heather Firth and Thomas Locklear did a great job with the narration.”
KROVS: Into Darkness “This is an intense dark romance with great s&xy scenes. The book is meaty but well worth it. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Richard Pendragon did a very good job with the narration.”
Complication “This book was very good. Gabriella gave Anders a run for his money. I love how she escaped from him and managed to stay gone for six months. As always JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Judgement “As usual, Ms. James has written a great book and series. Rhys and Lars meet at Jordan and Fitz's BDSM club, Baker Street, in London where he is a member. Lars knows she is his mate and ends up biting her right there in the club. She ends up leaving before he wakes up so the search begins to find her. This is also a murder mystery where Rhys' sister is killed. Rhys is a very strong woman and goes head to head with Lars. JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Sea Dog “This is another installment of the Mercenary Masters series. Fitz, from Cerberus Group, sent Sully on a cruise to intercept Nina, who is a great forger. He was to try to keep her from going to prison and work to keep her alive. This was a very fast-moving short book that I am sorry it was not longer. It felt like the s&x was quickly thrown in at the end of the book. All in all, this was a great Delta James book. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Mastered: A Dark Sci-Fi Reverse Harem Romance (Vakarran Captives Book 2) “This book was pretty good. The four aliens who captured the heroine were just as dominant as those in book 1, but they loved her. The book is mostly about them dominating her until she drugs them and escapes. I was hoping the heroine would meet up with her sister after she was captured. I would also like to know what happened to the women they rescued. All in all, it was a good story with an interesting ending. Would like to find out more about their journey after the explosion. Heather Firth did a great job with the narration.”
Subdued – A Dark Sci-Fi Reverse Harem Romance (Vakarran Captives Book 4) “This is the final book in the series and what a great series it was. I am sorry it has come to an end. The hot Vakarrans warriors caught the last sister and will subdue her. The warriors are totally alpha and share between themselves. They use her in every way possible and she enjoys it and will punish her at the drop of a hat. I am glad each book was not dependent on the others but it helped to understand the dynamics of each book if you read the previous ones in the series. These warriors are totally dominant. Sara Fields did a great job with these stories and I enjoy her writing style. I love sci-fi and reverse harem romance books. Heather Firth did an excellent job narrating throughout the series. It was nice to have the same person for each book.”
Conquered “After escaping capture for many years, Kira is captured by the aliens. The Vakarrans are very dominating and humans are their sex slaves. Kira gave in almost immediately, although she tried to stop herself. Heather Firth did a great job with the narration.”
Frantic (A Dark Reverse Harem Romance) The Omegaborn Trilogy, Book 2 “Sometimes it does not pay to try to get revenge on someone because sometimes it backfires and you get what you deserve. You are punished (maybe) and the drugs that suppress your sexual urges are removed from your system. Three alphas take Triss, who is an Omega, and they do every and anything to her, which she eventually enjoys. Triss thought she was better and smarter than Raven, but she soon found out she was not. The three alphas and Triss are captured and returned to the dome for experimentation. But, something interesting happens when Triss is broken out of the lab and her three alphas are drugged. The ending left the door open for the next book—a cliffhanger. I can't wait to find out what happens to the others. This was a very enjoyable book. Sarah Puckett and Jack Calihan did a great job with the narration. I especially love Jack’s narration with his deep sexy voice.”
Fever A Dark Reverse Harem Romance (The Omegaborn Trilogy, Book 3) “I had a hard time enjoying this book and knew this within the first half hour of starting it. For some reason, it did not hold my attention. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two Omegaborn books. I will try again at a later date and, if necessary, update the review. Sarah Puckett and Gunnar Qualen did a great job with the narration.”
Fear: A Dark Mafia Billionaire Romance “Liam kidnapped Sophia when he broke into her house. She should not have been home when he broke into her father's house. As soon as Liam gets her to his house, he ends up punishing her with a spanking and rough sex. She enjoyed it all. He also punishes her for sassing him. After a while, Liam became annoying to me. Most of the book is him punishing and having some kind of rough sex with her. I am not sure about this book. Heather Firth and Thomas Locklear did a great job with the narration.”
Frenzy The Omegaborn Trilogy, Book 1 “Raven and Alex lived in the safety of the dome where desire was suppressed by drugs. They, along with their team, are on a mission to get a flower. When they are approximately 100 miles away, the air ship lands with problems and cannot take off again. They are stranded in the Wilds. They walk through the forest and are met with others and a fire-spitting beast who destroys everything except their food supplies. Everyone is killed except Ravin and Alex. There are two other alphas, Ivan and Wolf, in the Wilds and they smell Raven. The four of them end up mating and they all mark Raven. Her mates left her to bathe and she was kidnapped. So much more happens in this book. This book was very good, Sara Fields is very a talented writer. This is one very HOT book. Sarah Puckett and Sebastian Reynolds are excellent narrators.”
Feral “Cosima is a journalist who makes her way into Echelon 67 (kind of like Area 51) to find out what experiments are going on. As she was snooping around and reading a report she should not have seen, she gets caught by the humans who work there. They secure her and take her further into Echelon 67. One of the escaped experiments, Saleous, comes in and kills all of the humans except her. He attempts to mount her. Axel, another experiment who seems more human, saves her, knocks him out and takes her to an area in the mountains where he warns her to stay away from him. He can smell her arousal and is trying to pull himself together. She is drawn to him and does not listen. Their story takes off from there. I enjoyed this book and Ms. Field’s writing style. The book flowed nicely and moved along very quickly. I love the fight scene when Saleous catches up with Axel and Cosima. Also, I loved the ending. Very nice! The narrator, Bo Alexander, was new to me and I felt he did a good job.”
Reckoning: A Billionaire Daddy Romance “This was a pretty good book. I am a fan of Sara Fields but I feel that this book is not as good as some of her other books I have read. She really knows how to write hot scenes and the sex scenes are very intense. Bridget Bordeaux did a very good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Untamed “This was a very good story that happens after Determined. Each book is kind of a continuation of the story of Cade and his brothers father and mother's deaths - a murder mystery. Each book takes us closer to the killer and focuses on one brother and his love interest. Thoroughly enjoyable but I cannot wait to get to the last book (all books are not on Audible yet). Xander Marceaux did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Alliance “Although this book was very good, I did not like it as much as the books in the previous series. I like that Joshua Knight and his mate Peyton were in the book. Marley is Joshua's sister. There were also references of some other characters from previous books. Marley tried unsuccessfully to escape several times from the forced mating with Gunnar. I didn't like Gunnar, but near the end if the book, I started to like him. This book had romance, suspense and action. JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Determined “Cade and his brothers' mother is killed in the beginning of the book. They have ideas who did it but no proof. Cade knows Trey is his bonded spirit even though she is human. They spend one glorious night together and in the morning, he is gone. Trey doesn't know he is not human. Years later, they meet again and what a nice reunion. The ending was really good and I cannot wait for the next book. Xander Marceaux is a new to me narrator and he did an awesome job! I really enjoy JT Farrell's work, but Xander was great! I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Prophecy “This was a very short book about Gabe and Anne before the other couples were together. Anne can really hold her own and she demonstrated that on a ship to the US where there was a nasty snob of a woman. I love how Anne put her in her place in front of those she tried to belittle. I would have loved for that scene to be much longer or for them to run into her again. As in the other books, J. T. Farrell did an awesome job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Deception “Another great book by Ms. James. I absolutely love her writing style. In addition to romance, this book had plenty of suspense. Paige was set up for embezzling. Luckily Ben is an attorney and a real bad@ss. Her father was a piece of work. I wanted more to happen to him and especially to the terrible group he was a part of after what he tried to have them do to his own daughter. This was a thoroughly enjoyable book and Ben was awesome! The epilogue gave us a look into one of the characters in the next book. As always, JT Farrell did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Alpha King: A Dark Mafia Shifter Romance “Lawson frees Ava from the vampires when he is rescuing his pack members. He finds out she has weapons she can use against the vampires and his pack, which she demonstrates during the breakout. Lawson wants those weapons. Also, as soon as he sees her, he knows she is his mate and sets out to seduce her into submission in terrible ways. Initially, to me, Lawson was not likeable but he grew on me. By the end of the book, I liked him although he was still much too dominant. Dahlia Lynde and Duncan Cole did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review”
Illusion “After meeting a blindfolded Goody in a BDSM club, Tristan did not give up and searched for her until he found her. Tristan was awesome! This book has romance, suspense, and a horrible villain, Wyvern. Goody's grandmother, after she dies under suspicious circumstances, left her a bakery and Wyvern tries to get her to sell it to him. Goody's mother was assisting him as she was his realtor. Her mother learned the hard way exactly who and what Wyvern was. Tristan and his friends were awesome, especially the way Tristan handled the sword. J. T. Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration.”
The Understanding “This is another great book by Ms. James. Unfortunately, it is the final book of the series. Braden found his fated mate and in a moment to protect her, he shifts as well as the men chasing them. After she sees this, she runs and he did not find her, not for lack of trying, for almost five years (talk about being persistent). He basically kidnaps her from her bed to take her back to his castle. Braden's assistant, Julie, wanted him to mate her. She planned to have Carys taken by a rival. In the end, Julie gets off too easily. This book has lots of action and romance. JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
The Agreement “Loving this series - just sorry the books are not longer. There was not a dull moment in this book. Joshua pursued his fated mate, Peyton. As in the previous books, the paranormal part of the book was small. I love how Joshua's pride immediately accepted Peyton. He would do anything to protect her and he did. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
The Pact “This was another great entry in the Syndicate Masters series. I loved Gavan. He was great! He took over Blaise's business after her grandfather died without appearing to do so. He always deferred to her in front of her staff. He was a s&xy man/beast who would do anything for Blaise and those she loved. I was glad when she accepted his collar. I love how Ms. James does not drag out the suspense. Blaise did not find out his secret until near the end if the book. The paranormal part of the book is very small. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration, especially the accents. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
The Bargain “At first, I didn’t care for Con but he turned out to be a really good man/beast towards Katie. Katie was one tough cookie. I like how she accepted him, even though he was not totally human and joined together with him. She came back to him after leaving a few years earlier (she was on an assignment). He made a bargain with her that would take the rest of her life to fulfill for him to get her sister back, who is a nun. Con was extremely dominant and loved punishing. If I think about it, Katie did too. They were great for each other. Before he knew Katie was back, he had another woman servicing him and once he decided to marry Katie, he had her removed from his house very abruptly and she was not too happy about that. This led to other issues, but Con takes care of them. Great scene in the airport restroom with the bad guy and Con. Con was too smooth in how he handled the situation. I was surprised by who the person was that had most of Con's people killed. I love Delta James’ writing style and this was really good book. I will move on to the next book in the series. As always, JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.”
Bride: A Dark Billionaire Arranged Marriage Romance “Initially, I could not stand Grayson because he was entirely too dominant, and he forced Zoe to his way. This started shortly after she entered his office for a meeting. In the beginning, Zoe was a very strong businessperson but by the end, all that changed. He trapped her in his office and home and announced she was his bride. He proceeds to force her to marry him that day, custom-fitted wedding dress and all. Of course, there are reasons why he forced her to marry him, and he explains that after they are married. There is a horrible villain who kidnaps Zoe. Grayson was awesome! My opinion of him changed even though he was still extremely dominant. All in all, I thought this was a very good book. Dahlia Lynde did a very good job with the narration. I received this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.”
Bound “This was a very good book that really took off in the second half. I love how characters from the previous books helped Eddie come through the veil as his world there was closing in on him. Saoirse was great with her spells. There was plenty of suspense but not as much s&x as is usually in Ms. James' books. Wellington, the main lion at Trafalgar Square, was awesome. He was so over-the-top when spoke. This book, as is all of the books in the Masters of the Savoy series, are very imaginative and creative. One thing I love about Ms. James' books is that she does not drag out the suspense. JT Farrell was awesome, especially with the different accents. I received this free copy audiobook from Audiobook Unleashed at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Release “This book was so good! It is the sixth book in the Masters of the Savoy series and, in my opinion, one of the best. The time flew by and I am sorry it was not longer. Holden is cursed to be a gargoyle by day and a partial gargoyle by night, although he looked mostly human. He did not turn to stone until sunlight. Holden was cursed because of his behavior approximately 700 years ago. He connects with Mazie as soon as he sees her. I love how this story played out. I didn't know who the killer was so it made me suspicious of just about everyone. We have characters from previous books like Saoirse and Spence. Mazie was a highly intelligent but tough young woman who doesn't find out that Holden was not fully human until well into the book. I wanted the book to continue after the end to find out if Saoirse was able to fully reverse the spell/curse on Holden. As always, JT Farrell was outstanding, especially how he was able to switch accents. I received this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Daddy’s Little Girl Series Collection, Books 11-15 “Strong Mafia Daddy This was a pretty good short story about how Zoey's brother gave her to Tony to repay his debt to the mafia. Tony turned out to be great. Dashing Chef Daddy Short story about Chelsea, a little, and Flynn, a daddy. Things take off when they learn what they each are. Chelsea's mother was a real b!tch. Fiery Fighter Daddy Hazel's boyfriend, Todd, took her to an MMA fight. After the fight, Todd took her in the alley along the side of the building and started berating and getting ready to hit her. Scott, the fighter, heard this, came out, and threw Todd away from her. He takes Hazel with him that night. Scott was awesome. Strapping Cowboy Daddy This was another good book by Scott Wylder. These books are short and sweet. Violet receives threats so she goes to say at Jesse’s ranch for six months. Initially, Jesse doesn’t know she is a little but he quickly finds out. This was a good quick listen. Passionate Pilot Daddy I love how Gabe, the pilot, was portrayed in this book. He was so sweet and gentle with the very young Rebecca. They both ended up in his hotel room because the hotel had double booked the room. Gabe was a perfect gentleman all night. They didn’t see each other for another year and found that they both live in the same apartment building. This was a very good age-gap romance. Richard Pendragon did a very good job with the narration with all of the stories. I received this free copy audiobook from Audiobook Unleashed at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Pimp Dino “This was an interesting story where others from the lab are sent years in the past to be with Shanna. They find out that Shanna is mated to a dinosaur, Timmy. All of the people and dinosaurs end up having an orgy. Buck Deat did a good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Submission: A Supernatural Mystery and Romance “I love Delta James' books but it took me a little while to get into this one. This was an interesting take on Ann Boleyn, Queen of England, and King Henry. King Henry was horrible and had her beheaded. The warder met her to escort her to the light but she refused to go. Her life was cut short and she found a way the come back. Almost five centuries later, Ann escapes through the veil. In a world that is new to her, she is befriended by Saoirse, the Irish witch. From there, the book really takes off. Gabe, head of security at the Savoy, has eyes for Ann as soon as he sees her and sets out to get her. He wants the kind of love that his friends Roarke and Holmes has. This turned out to be a very good book that has romance, action, as well as some humor. It was so funny when Ann called Gabe a churlish knave. Gabe was awesome. JT Farrell is an outstanding narrator who had no problem switching between accents. He also does very believable female voices. I received this free copy audiobook at my request from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.”
Cruel Masters “Initially I did not care for the three men, who were business partners in Extreme Inc., but that changed for me by the end of the book. They were totally alpha. Loved the reverse harem. Piper Stone is great at her craft writing erotic fiction. Heath Wakefield did a very good job with the narration.”
Bound By Air “Bound by Air is book one of the Wardens of Terra series. This was a really good paranormal short story and a great start to the series. It will be interesting to find out who the next warden to find his mate will be. I enjoyed C. D. Gorri's writing style. Ri Paige did a very good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.”
Unacceptable Behavior “Max always liked ex-CIA agent Rafe but didn’t think there was ever any chance he would feel the same way about her. Rafe was head of Security at her job so she saw him every day. Formerly, one of the best employees, she comes in late. She accidentally destroyed her old phone and had to get a new one complete with the internet. She starts reading erotic stories at her desk and while driving. Max accidentally rear ends Rafe and everything takes off from there when he finds her phone on the floor of her car and he saw what she was reading. What a great opportunity for him to punish her and get closer to her. Things seem to be moving along nicely with them until Rafe has to go to Afghanistan on a secret mission that he originally thought would be a few weeks but he ended up having to stay for months. During that time, Max changed because she thought he left her, no matter what he told her. What an interesting story because Max’s heart was involved and she didn’t think she was capable of attracting a guy like Rafe except maybe for a booty call. This ended up being a really good story that I would highly recommend. Love, love, love Jack Calihan’s narration! To me, he is as good as Joe Arden, Sebastian York and Mason Lloyd!”
The Commander’s Daughter: The Ramelian Saga, Book 2 “Liam, a Ramelian warrior, realized Melody was his mate as soon as he saw her at his commander's house. So that he could try to get to know her naturally instead of claiming her outright, he was assigned as her bodyguard. Liam wanted Melody to submit and obey him always but she was feisty. When she didn't obey, the punishments were pretty bad, especially when he washed her mouth out with soap and wouldn't let her spit it out or rinse her mouth. I don't see a human woman putting up with that unless she were really, really worn down. The warrior was also very possessive. This was a good book and kept my attention throughout. I feel that the narrator can make or break the book. Jack Calihan is an awesome narrator. He had the right tone in his voice for the sexy, possessive warrior Liam. He also did a great job with the female voices. You always knew who was speaking.”
His Caged Mate (Book 2) “Ryia was out for a run in her panther form. While she was relaxing, she was taken by a power-hungry jerk of a prince. Barrick was the commander of the ship where Ryia was taken and caged. As soon as Barrick and Ryia saw each other, they both knew they were mates. Barrick didn't want to keep her because it would start an intergalactic war but he eventually gave in to the mating urge. Ryia was a strong woman/hunter. After Barrick and Ryia mated, the prince gets jealous, knocks her out and steals her away to his home planet where he kills the ruling king as well as his brothers. This book turned out to be pretty good. I like how Barrick, Ryia and another animal the prince captured, set the prince up in the end. I also enjoyed the epilogue that takes place a few years in the future. I think narrator Jack Calihan did a very good job, easily differentiating between both male and female voices. You always knew who was speaking. He sounded very sexy when Barrick spoke.”
His Rebellious Mate (Book 3) “I really enjoy science fiction romance and this book is in that genre. It is fast paced and there is a bit of suspense. Maggie is an independent woman who slowly becomes submissive for her mate Jackson. Jackson did not know he was her mate for many years. After he found out, he was too dominant and controlling. Maggie gave in to him too easily for her "punishments." The sex scenes were hot each time they came together. There were quite a few spankings in the book. I like how Jackson stood up to her father regarding her bar. This was a good quick listen. The narrator was also was pretty good.”
Marked: A Dark Sci-Fi Romance “This book was not what I was expecting but it was very good. Initially, Silas was a bit rough and not exactly loveable. He was very dominant. There was some action and suspense when the other aliens broke into Silas' apartment and ended up capturing both of them and took them to their planet. This book had a very nice ending. Heather Firth did a great job with the narration.”
Chosen by the Berserker “This is the last book in the Warlords of Farian series. I have listened to the first book and now the last book and will probably go back and listen to books 2-4. This was a nice love story about Ilisa and Skarde. Skarde is the Duke of Farian. There were lots of smexy times between them. I am glad at the end they get their HEA after all they endured, including war. I feel that Stacy Hill did a much better job in book 1. Her performance was OK in this book.”
Dark Moon Falls: Cade “This was a really good story. At Ivy's brother's request, Cade went to Ivy's college after her graduation to pick her up. While there, they end up mating (her brother knew Cade was her fated mate). After they mated and when she went to tell her parents, she found out that they had promised her to another pack leader as payment for their debt. They kept her hidden and weakened so her mate and brother could not find her. There are some twists and two very nasty villains. The story has a nice ending. Ri Paige did a very good job with the narration.”
Abducted: A Celestial Mates Reverse Harem Romance “Mya was abducted by 4 Vakarrans just as she was getting ready to marry someone else. These Vakarrans are very dominant and pretty much take what they want. They had a robot who put Mya in the proper positions for them to "take" her. Not surprising, she thoroughly enjoyed their possession. All in all, a good book. Dahlia Lynde did a good job with the narration.”
On Her Knees: A Mafia Bully Romance “Blaire meets Cole when she is just a little girl starving. He takes her to lunch with his bodyguard. He calls his mafia kingpin father (he is his illegitimate son) to ask that he help her and her family. HIs father does. Blaire ends up at Stonewall Academy where Cole also attends even though he is a few years older. Blaire was a real b!tch, a real mean girl. She goes to his house to tell him that she found out he is the son of a mafia boss. You can’t threaten someone associated with the mafia. He takes her v-card and does every and anything to her while she is there, then kicks her out for her own protection. She was so hurt that she vowed to get back at him. She may be tough but Cole is much tougher. This was a really good story. I am sorry that this is not part of a series to find out how Cole and Blaire navigate Cole being the mafia kingpin after his father and brother are killed. Bridget Bordeaux and Gavin McAllister did a great job with the narration.”
Ashley & Jeff “Ashley has to deal with husband Jeff’s bratty children, especially his daughter. Her husband was of no help until he finds out just what she has been going through. This book was OK. Hollie Jackson did a great job with the narration.”
Boss: A Dark Mafia Romance “Brooke goes to Dominic's penthouse for help to find her father. He is an extremely powerful man. He ends up stripping her and destroying her clothes. Things take a different turn and get rough. He cruelly punishes her before pleasuring her. They both underestimated the strength of each other. She ends up doing something really stupid when they were in Japan looking for her father. She drugged him and left to meet a kingpins wife. Big mistake on her part. Initially I did not think this was a romance book but by the end, it is. This book has very intense sex scenes. Heather Firth did a great job with the narration but, in my opinion, John Solo's voice did not sound strong enough to portray the extremely powerful Dominic.”
Best Seller “This is another great book by Ms. James. Sage is an erotic romance writer who is being targeted. Roark is her main character. I guessed early in the book when things started happening to Sage, who was behind it. I loved how Roark was able to pierce the veil to get out of the book when Sage was almost murdered. He arrived just in time. He was great - very sexy and dominant. He did not hesitate to punish Sage when she disobeyed him and she did so a few times. There are other characters from Sage's books who end up on the outside and they know Roark from the books. The ending is very nice. JT Farrell is the perfect narrator for Ms. James' books. He did a great job with both male and female voices.”
I Dream of Gene “This is a different kind of I Dream of Genie and an enjoyable short erotic story. There was a bad guy in the story so that made for some suspense. Logan McAllister did a great job with the narration.”
Foxxy Tales: Volume One “This book has three very enjoyable short stories. Each story was insta-love and when the man saw his intended woman, he fell hard and went after her. I love that each story ended with a very nice HEA but I wanted each story to continue on for longer. My favorite of the three stories was Crashing Into Love and Stolen. Undeniable was good but I did not care for Parker. Heather Firth and Thomas Locklear did a great job with the narration.”
Strong Mafia Daddy “This was a pretty good short story about how Zoey's brother gave her to Tony to repay his debt to the mafia. Tony turned out to be great. Richard Pendragon did a good job with the narration.”
Dashing Chef Daddy “Short story about Chelsea, a little, and Flynn, a daddy. Things take off when they learn what they each are. Chelsea's mother was a real b!tch. Richard Pendragon did a very good job with the narration.”
Savage A Rough Romance “Freya, a virgin, is chosen by the king as his queen. She is very upset by this and when he tries to have sex with her in front of everyone, they fight and she stabs and ends up killing him. She then becomes their queen. Aric, who is a Sage, is sent by Ghost, the leader of the Alpha Brotherhood to be with Freya since she has both alpha and omega blood and they stand to gain power. Will Aric be able to tame her or will she kill him too? Heather Firth and Tor Thom did a great job with the narration.”
Fiery FIghter Daddy “Hazel's boyfriend, Todd, took her to an MMA fight. After the fight, Todd took her in the alley along the side of the building and started berating and getting ready to hit her. Scott, the fighter, heard this, came out, and threw Todd away from her. He takes Hazel with him that night. Scott was awesome. Richard Pendragon did a great job with the narration.”
Sweet & Sassy “Layla's father wanted her to marry Jimmy but, unfortunately, she thought Jimmy was boring. She tells her father that sex with him is 22 boring minutes. Her father admitted his sex life is better than hers. What an uncomfortable conversation to have with your father! Giovanni owned a chocolate store and Layla would stop in for chocolate. He has lusted after her for quite a while. After she calls off her engagement to Jimmy, Gio asks her on a date. They go out and end up back at her house where they really get to know each other. Gio realizes he wants to spend his life with her, something he never wanted with another woman but Gio had a confession to make. That scene on Gio's plane was really hot. The ending of this short book was very nice and I am sorry the book is not longer. Lu Banks did a great job with the narration.”
Primal “After capturing her, Vikar was brutal in his punishments of Luna. The spankings lasted forever and, although very painful, she got off on it. Vikar is drugged and Luna is taken by the cult. He regrouped and met with Ghost and went in after her. I love what Vikar did to Luna's horrible father. He thought nothing of selling his granddaughter to the highest bidder. Ghost is an interesting character and I hope we find out who or what he is. I also hope Ghost's daughter gets to safety after being taken at the castle when she was trying to help Luna find her daughter. Heather Firth and Tor Thom did a very good job with the narration, although Heather narrated most of the book.”
His Majesty: A Rough Romance “This book was really good. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Initially I could not stand Mateo but he turned out to be OK. The scene at court where he introduced Isabella, she threw wine in his face after he called her his concubine, was terrible. She was thoroughly punished naked in front of everyone. I felt bad for what she went through. Later in the book it becomes clear why Mateo is the way he is. At the end of the book, I love what Mateo said to Isabella. It would be nice to have a book 2 to catch up with them. Heather Firth and Thomas Locklear did a great job with the narration.”
Blush for Daddy “This was a good book but the heroine, Keri, was so annoying with her actions. She went to Jackson/Daddy several times for his assistance over eight years. She wants him but her temper seems to get the best of her. She would not admit that she likes him to control her. Heather Firth and Logan McAllister did a great job with the narration.”
Rough “Ariana, Ghost's daughter, was taken by the Cult when she was trying to help Luna in book 2, Primal. She is an omega and was sold to the new king who is an alpha and is known for being ruthless. This was a good addition to the Alpha Brotherhood series. There is a lot if discipline and punishments. Heather Firth and Duncan Cole did a great job with the narration.”
Thirst: A Dark Paranormal Romance “This book was a take on Cain and Abel. I am not sure how I feel about this book but I really enjoy Sara Fields' books. I was not bored at any time. Ruby was feisty but was no match for Cain's magic. All in all, this was an enjoyable book. Heather Firth did a great job with the narration.”
Alpha Dog “I have enjoyed every book by Delta James that I have listened to but it took me a little while to get into this one. Once I did, the book was great! Fitz is over-the-top dominant and he gets things done with the help of his team. He was determined to save Jordan from herself and he did. Unfortunately, the villain shows up at the end. I was surprised by who it was. JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration. He was spot on with the accents.”
Devil Dog “This is another great book by Delta James. This was about Mallory, a professor, and Dex, a sargent in the service. Mallory broke up with him by letter and left to fill in for her friend in a country on the verge of war. All this while Dex was on assignment. When he returned and found the letter, he went after her even though his request for leave was denied. At times, Mallory could be so annoying. For her to have an advanced degree, she did some really stupid things. Because of her, Dex was imprisoned and almost executed twice! In spite of this, the book is really good. Fitz, from Alpha Dog, and his team made appearances in this book. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Bulldog “Olivia meets Nigel at a sword fight where she cheats and wins. Nigel is a Dom and was set up with Olivia at Jordan’s club. Olivia ends up using her safe word and everyone knows she did not allow him to perform after care. The next day they end up back together and he publicly punishes her for her behavior. This is insta-love for Nigel and he decides to collar her and eventually put a ring on her finger. There is some suspense and Olivia gets kidnapped not once, but twice but Nigel was right on it. This book was really good but things moved very fast toward the end of the book. I hope the next book comes to Audible so we can hear Sawyer’s story. JT Farrell did his usual outstanding job with the narration.”
Top Dog “Ms. James delivered a solid addition to the Mercenary Masters series. Rhiannon was a very strong woman who ends up leaving Sawyer and Fitzwallace's team after a mission goes wrong for her and she is captured and tortured. The team rescues her but she escapes from the hospital. Sawyer and the team search for her for years and eventually get her to come out where they can talk to her about joining them on a mission. She left because she did not think Sawyer would want her. Boy did he prove her wrong. Over the years they were apart, neither had any sexual partners. Sawyer is a dominant and Rhiannon is submissive for him only. Both of them and the team are on a mission to bring down a sex trafficker. This book was so good! JT Farewell did an awesome job with the narration.”
Big Dog “This book was so good. I have a certain expectation when I listen to Ms. James’ books and she does not disappoint. Wyatt and MacKenna hook up for one night and then Wyatt had to ship out. Years later they meet again after the team rescues women but end up leaving MacKenna behind. During the time they were apart, he tried to find her. They both thought about each other. When she escapes from her captor, she blows up a BDSM club in Dubai and the bad guys are after her. I understand that MacKenna was a very strong woman but she could be very annoying. Wyatt has to protect her from herself but she escapes from under his protection. Watch out when he catches her. She will be sore inside and out. This book has a very nice ending and the door was left open for another book. As always, JT Farrell did a great job with the narration. He is great at male voices and does a pretty good female voice.”
Brought To Heel “Initially, I did not like Dillon but liked him a little better by the end of the book. You will realize he has the women's best interest at heart despite his dominant ways and his willingness to punish at the drop of a hat. he treated all of the women like children by spanking and making them stand in the corner. Skylar, his new mate, was used to being alpha of her own pack but Dillon treated her like a child. I love when she threatened to cut his throat and how she tried to bargain with him. The way he acted, I could see doing just that to him. Shifter politics are as bad as human politics. I really enjoy Delta James’ writing style and this book was very enjoyable. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration. I could just picture Dillon—a no nonsense but loving and fair man. His pack loved him and, after some consideration, I could see why.”
Taking His Mate (Book 4) “Rogue wolves tried to capture Maddie previously but an alpha sent his wolves to watch her. So when the rogues tried to capture her again, most of them were killed and Maddie was taken with them to the protection of the alpha. At the alpha’s house, she meets Griffen. Maddie is the strong woman, but Griffen handles that. I enjoyed this book as much as the previous one except that I liked Griffen a bit more than Oliver Halsey. The rogues in Europe are horrible—capturing humans to breed with them, then auction them off. Luckily, things were handled by Griffen et al but I don’t think it is the end of the rogues in Europe coming to the US. They are a dangerous lot. Griffen does all he can to protect his mate and she goes against him at every turn. She is not one to obey. Of course, being the alpha that he is, you can imagine what happens to her. Characters from the other books make an appearance. I found this book thoroughly enjoyable and am looking forward to the next books in the series. JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Claimed and Mastered “Ava was a piece of work when she lived with her pack in Europe and was determined to be an alpha's mate. She was an alpha in her own right. When she overheard her pack alpha talking to his mate about sending her away to another pack to be mated off, she takes things into her own hands and flees to America where she ends up meeting her match in human alpha Declan. Slowly they become close and she recognizes him as her fated mate. When Ava accidentally bites him in the throws of passion, things really get interesting. Until then, he did not even know her real name. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Mastering His Mate (Book 3) “Rosalyn and her sister Liza were followed and attacked by rogue wolves. They needed to convert human females to be mates for their pack. Oliver is the Halsey pack alpha. Bash, beta to Oliver rescues the women and takes them to the estate to recover from the change. When Oliver sees Rosalyn's picture he recognizes her as his mate. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Hunted and Claimed “Riley was great! I love how she kept escaping from Cam, her fated mate, to rescue the women who were taken. Each time Cam caught and punished her. Riley risked everything to get these women back. I also love how the alpha's mates had their own network behind the alpha's backs. It was nice how the other alphas made appearances in this book to try save more of the women who were taken and try to catch who was behind it. The women came up with a plan for the day of Riley and Cam's party. The book has a bit of a cliffhanger and ended before they followed through to free a woman in Canada. Unfortunately, have to wait until the next book which is not on Audible yet. JT Farrell did an amazing job with the narration.”
Captured and Claimed “What a great ending to a wonderful series. I suggest starting with book 1 because each book in some way blends into the next book. The alpha of the rogue wolves was horrible—very smooth, but horrible piece of work. It was nice to find out what happened to Shannon. She was very strong and did not give up. I don’t know that I would have been as strong or lasted as long as she did. It was awesome how the women snuck away from their mates to go all the way to Canada to free the women. Before the auction, James realizes Shannon is his fated mate. He pays $500,000 just so none of the other bidders could touch or spend time with her prior to the auction except him. The women had everything planned to the last detail except how Shannon would react. I am glad the rogue alpha got what he should have gotten ages ago. James' father was a b@stard and he got exactly what he deserved. I am truly sorry to see the Wayward Mates series come to an end. Maybe Ms. James will decide to update us on the couples in a future book. I would highly recommend listening to or reading this series. As always, JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration. He is the voice of the Wayward Mates series.”
Marked and Mated: An Alpha Shifter Romance (Book 2) “This book was so good, thoroughly enjoyable. It was nice that some of the women and men from book 1 were in this book. Darby gave Jean-Michel a run for his money. She was mated before to an @sshole who was not her true mate and he abused her. Jean-Michel punishes her but not abuse. He really punishes her when she tries to get away from him. At first I did not care for him, but he turned out to be a great mate. I love how Jean-Michel handled Darby’s kidnapping by her old mate. For his mate, nothing was too much to get her back. I am looking forward to the next book in the series Mastering His Mate. JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration.”
Claiming His Mate “This book takes place before book 1, Brought to Heel. Bianca was one tough cookie with a very strong personality. Her behavior was terrible and her attitude was even worse. She sent any possible mates from the surrounding packs running even though she was beautiful. They did not want to deal with her, not even her own pack. As the alpha’s sister, she was never disciplined. Her brother, sent her to Dillon Grainger's pack where she meets Nick who is Dillon's beta. She hates him immediately, initially, and gave him a run for his money. Her behavior issues did not last long with Nick. It took her a little while to accept that Nick was her fated mate. This was a very good book and introduction to the Wayward Mates series. As usual, JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration.”
Claimed and Mated “Marco was over the top dominant in this book. He basically took over Catherine's life without thought to how she felt, although he could be very loving in his own way. It appeared she had no rights just do what he says or she would be punished. There were some funny moments when she disobeyed him. I love when she socked him in the nose and then she kicked him in front of the pack. She was publicly humiliated in front of the pack that she was just meeting. He also did not let her wear clothing. I thought he really had a nerve spanking her and he wanted to punish her for daring to strike him. All in all, this was a very good book in the series. It kind of went backwards since they were already married and expecting a baby in the previous book. JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration, especially the way he portrayed Marco. At times Marco made me want to jump in the book and b!tch slap him.”
Dragonlord: A Dark Shifter Romance “This book was so good! Delta James' books keep your attention throughout and before you know it, the book is over. Everyone thought the dragons had all but vanished but Gideon, hot dragon shifter, was awakened from his slumber. He could smell his mate, Bridgett, and went to search for her. Bridgett, a she-wolf, was the mate of a pack alpha who died. She wanted to escape her pack to start a pack of females. She even left her young daughter behind (but Gideon takes care of that). Bridgett was very feisty but she was no match for Gideon and the mate bond. She tried her best to fight the attraction to Gideon but, of course, it did not work. It was destiny for them and Gideon is a very dominant alpha. This book is tied to Warlord, Overlord, and Wolflord. I can’t wait to see what happens when Gideon’s brothers awake and go in search of their mates. I cannot say it enough that Jack Calihan is an awesome narrator. He does an outstanding job narrating these books. I could just picture Gideon talking to Bridgett in Jack’s deep, sexy voice.”
Sealord “Delta James has hit it out of the park again with Sealord. This book is set in the same world as Dragonlord. As a matter of fact, Dragonlord main characters make an appearance. Kellan was really tough when it came to punishing Míorúilt. She was a very independent person who just found out a few years ago that she was a dragon when her parents were killed. The ending was a nice set up for the next book, which I cannot wait to hear. Jack Calihan did an outstanding job with the narration. He came through as dominant and s&xy.”
Skylord “I love when a Delta James book comes to Audible and this was a very good book. Duncan, Lord of the Sky awakens and smells his mate Aurora who came there to kill him. He was extremely dominant but turned out to be so caring towards his mate. He did not hesitate to punish her. The problem was getting Aurora to accept him as her mate. There was a dangerous villian and they appear in the last quarter of the book. The last dragon has also awakened. Cannot wait for his book. JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration. I”
Witch and Warrior “This is the beginning of the Viking Masters series. Astrid and Huw meet in a deam. This was an exciting journey to find a stolen bone wan. There was romance, suspense and some pretty intense action. As always, JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Virgin Tribute: A Dark Sci-Fi romance “Reagan is the next virgin tribute/concubine for the beast aka protector aka Drake, who protects the people in Sanctuary from the mutants. She is a strong willed feisty young woman who fought elders for choosing her. They gave her a humiliating examination in preparation for the beast to give him a baby. She tried to escape but the beast caught her. He was very rough with her and made her beg him to pleasure her and spank her. He only saw her as a tribute and concubine and reminded her of this often. I like alpha males, but he was too much. At times, I could not stand him and was hoping she would knock him out. This book did not strike me as romance until near the end, although I guess it was developing. By the end of the book, I wanted it to continue longer to find out how Reagan and Drake handle life in the new world he helped create and what happened to the people in Sanctuary. Nikki Monroe did a great job with the narration.”
Firelord “Initially, I liked Seth the least of all the elemental dragons but eventually he grew on me. There were some funny moments where I caught myself laughing out loud, especially with Caitlyn's antics but Seth was always so patient with her. I love how the characters from previous books, both dragon and wolf, made appearances to defeat a shared enemy. It felt like everything was wrapped up in this book. As always, JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration.”
Corked: Tangled Vines “I feel this book is best enjoyed before book 1. This is Linc, Damien's brother, and Grace's story. Linc is an alpha who does not have his own pack. He has been working to get rid of the human hunters. He know Grace is his fated mate as soon as he sees and smells her. She is interviewed for an executive chef position at both restaurants at Linc and Damien's establishments. Grace is drawn to Linc and, of course, they get very close. When the hunters kidnap her, Linc is on their trail. Watch out when he finds them. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Uncorked: Tangled Vines “As always, Ms. James wrote a great story. I found both main characters likeable. A car accident, orchestrated by hunters, severely injured Kinsey and kills her twin sister Kayla and Evan, her mate. Damien, former navy seal, now alpha and head of Luna de Lobo vineyard, is pulled to be with her. He thought she was Kayla and his fated mate because Evan was dead and the female could possibly have another mate. The pack also thinks Kinsey is Kayla. When Evan knew Kayla was already dead, he tried to save Kinsey by starting the change. When Kinsey woke up, she was a piece of work. She eventually escapes from Damien and returns to Paris, where she lived. She had a life in Paris, a nice but small apartment, a lover, and friends. Of course, trouble is on the horizon and Damien will not stop searching until he finds her. Italian alpha Marco and his mate Catherine were in this book. His resources were at Damien's disposal. This book was so good. JT Farrell, as always, did an awesome job with the narration.”
Decanted “Shasta gave Hudson a run for his money with her behavior. She is an alpha and wanted a weak alpha she could control. That is not Hudson because he is totally alpha. The hunters are at it again and Hudson gets shot three times with silver bullets. The hunters also kidnap Shasta but I felt the story is taking a different turn with the hunters. The preview of the next book sets us up for this. I love that the alpha of New Orleans and his mate were in this book. JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Breathe: Tangled Vines “Marissa was a very strong woman and once she learns the truth about her father and the hunters, a group she was a member of, she sets out to destroy each one of them, including her father. This was for justice for her sister's death. I hate what happened to Ethan in the beginning just before he was leaving his military service to return to Marissa. He stayed away from Marissa, who he loved. I was glad that years later, he goes in search of her and to protect her because the hunters knew it was her. As always, JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Warlord: A Dark Shifter Romance “Rowan had an ordered life – unmated and the alpha of her pack. Along comes Alaric, who takes over her life and her pack. He delivers swift punishment by spanking her. He does not allow a woman to have or speak her own mind. It is his way or no way. How annoying! To him, NO does not mean no if your body just happens to respond. Alaric marks her as his mate. I found him to be just too much and could understand if any woman drove their sword through him. It is a shame she couldn’t knock him over the head until he passed out but when/if he came to, she would be punished. He was way to dominating and needed to be brought down. In spite of this, I found the book to be well written. Jack Calihan nailed alpha Alaric. The inflection in his voice was both sexy and dominant. He did an excellent job as always.”
Full-bodied “Jamie and Whitney meet at a wine festival and spend one glorious night together. Jamie recognizes her as his fated mate. Then they do not see each other for a few months where Jamie orchestrates a plan to get her to come to his winery. This book was so good and a great addition to the Tangled Vines series. As always, JT Farrell did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Overlord: A Dark Shifter Romance “This book is about Alaric’s brother and Sloan. Gareth really didn’t believe in fated mates until he is near Sloan, a human. He believes in punishment the same as Alaric but there was something different and more easy-going about Garenth. Once a couple are fated mates, it is impossible to ignore it. Sloan was one feisty and strong-willed little woman. Gareth marked Sloan as his mate against her will. He carried her back into the room of people with her impaled on his p*nis. Boy did he get his point across. How embarrassing! I like that we found out a little more about Garenth’s first mate (who was not his fated mate). Gareth was very dominating but not like his brother, Alaric. For some reason, I liked Gareth much more. This book moves along at a good pace and I enjoyed it a little more than Warload, although both are good books. Jack Calihan did it again. He used just the right about of dominate tone in his voice for Garenth so that he didn’t sound as dominate as Alaric. The inflection in his voice was very sexy as usual. He did an outstanding job as always.”
Wolflord “This book was really good in spite of how dominant the men are. Ruari is just as bad as Alaric in Warlord with his dominant ways. Gareth of Ravenscar makes an appearance in this book along with his mate Sloan. Ruari was beta to Gareth. His brother dies and he becomes clan alpha. Arielle, Rowen’s sister from Warlord, ran away from Alaric’s clan because she was punished by Alaric’s beta. She stowed away on a ship headed for Ruari’s clan and was caught. Ruari knew Arielle was his mate when he first saw her when he was at Alaric and Rowen’s clan home. He is a dominating as Alaric. Arielle tries to escape from him more than once and he catches her each time. The last time, he catches and claims her. They cannot be secluded as a mated pair since Ruari has to go off to a war against villains Edwin and Simon. Of course, Arielle interferes and brings another female with her. They are both are punished. One of the mates said it right. She said if they are b@stards, then we are sick b!tches for loving them. Ruari was something else. He wanted Arielle to be naked whenever they are alone. All in all, this was a good book. Jack Calihan did an outstanding job with the narration! He could read the phonebook and sound sexy.”
Late Harvest “This was a really good second chance romance. After meeting her fated mate Daniel and while having s&x with him, Char is caught by her father. Her father is horrible. They beat Daniel to within an inch of his life. She agreed to mate with the alpha her father chose to save Daniel's life. She finds out she is pregnant with Daniel's baby just before her bonding ceremony. JT Farrell did a great job with the narration.”
Hoss: A Rough Romance “Delta James did a great job with this book. Hoss started in on Remy as soon as she arrived at his house by setting the rules. Hoss is a dominant alpha who would quickly punish by spanking then having mind-blowing sex with her. Remy was on the run from someone who wanted her dead. They had already killed her roommate and framed her. In addition to claiming her body, Hoss vowed to protect her. This was a fast-paced, suspenseful, hot book. Hoss and Remy end up on the run from the killer or killers until Hoss' old team arrived to assist them. There was lots of suspense in this book. Remy was foolish in some of her actions. Good thing she had Hoss and his team. Jack Calihan did an outstanding job with the narration.”
Fated: A Dark Shifter Romance “In the beginning of the book, we have Darby Callan and Jean-Michel Gautier. Long after their deaths, Jean-Cristophe (who is their ancestor), is now the alpha of New Orleans. This book is about Emma and Jean-Cristophe. Emma could hardly stand him in the beginning and even tried to escape. She is very fiesty and also tried to fight him. You know that did not work out in her favor. Punishment aka spanking was clearly in her future. Emma is the undead and Jean-Cristophe is a wolf shifter and he is forbidden to change her but he pretty much does what he wants and he wants to change Emma to a wolf. I felt that the book ended a bit abruptly. I wanted to know if Emma was able to get pregnant and if her sire ever found her and what happened. I really enjoy Delta James’ writing style. JT Farrell is a great narrator. He did a wonderful job with voices for both Emma, Jean-Cristophe and as well as the other characters.”
Negotiation “This is Michael Holmes and Rachel Moriarty's story. Holmes was great but when he tells Rachel about his origin, she reacts badly. Holmes vows to protect her from the evil that pierced the veil, escaped and has attached itself to Rachel. I love that Roark and Sage were in this book helping Holmes to send the evil back. This book is really good but different from Ms. James' other books. As always, JT Farrell was outstanding. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
Advance: A Supernatural Mystery and Romance “This is another great book by Ms. James which is a slight expansion of Best Seller but still very enjoyable. There are other characters from Sage's books who end up on the outside if the books. They knew Roark from inside the books. The ending is very nice. Love the cover. JT Farrell is the perfect narrator for Ms. James' books. He did a great job with both male and female voices. Strapping Cowboy Daddy “This was another good book by Scott Wylder. These books are short and sweet. Violet receives threats so she goes to say at Jesse’s ranch for six months. Initially, Jesse doesn’t know she is a little but he quickly finds out. This was a good quick listen. Richard Pendragon did a very good job with the narration. Passionate Pilot Daddy “I love how Gabe, the pilot, was portrayed in this book. He was so sweet and gentle with the very young Rebecca. They both ended up in his hotel room because the hotel had double booked the room. Gabe was a perfect gentleman all night. They didn’t see each other for another year and found that they both live in the same apartment building. This was a very good age-gap romance. Richard Pendragon did a very good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
