Maxine Reynolds knows it is careless to read naughty stories on her phone while driving, but she is utterly shocked by the consequences when she rear-ends ex-CIA agent Rafe Jennings, the head of security at her place of work. After scolding her for her reckless and unacceptable behavior, he proceeds to give her exactly what she needs – a long, hard, thoroughly embarrassing bare-bottom spanking followed by a belt whipping over the edge of his desk.

After her punishment, Rafe informs Maxine that from now on, he’ll be making it his business to keep her in line, and though she protests, she cannot help recognizing that his guidance makes her feel safer and more loved than she’s ever felt before. Still, she can’t let herself believe he could be genuinely interested in her or that he sees her as more than a girl who needs his help.

Yet once he takes her into his arms and claims her fully, Maxine begins to wonder if maybe he truly does want her as his own. But when Rafe is sent overseas for one last mission, her fears send her into a spiral of self-destruction. Will he return in time to rescue Maxine from herself?

Max always liked ex-CIA agent Rafe but didn’t think there was ever any chance he would feel the same way about her. Rafe was head of Security at her job so she saw him every day. Formerly, one of the best employees, she comes in late. She accidentally destroyed her old phone and had to get a new one complete with the internet. She starts reading erotic stories at her desk and while driving. Max accidentally rear ends Rafe and everything takes off from there when he finds her phone on the floor of her car and he saw what she was reading. What a great opportunity for him to punish her and get closer to her. Things seem to be moving along nicely with them until Rafe has to go to Afghanistan on a secret mission that he originally thought would be a few weeks but he ended up having to stay for months. During that time, Max changed because she thought he left her, no matter what he told her. What an interesting story because Max’s heart was involved and she didn’t think she was capable of attracting a guy like Rafe except maybe for a booty call. This ended up being a really good story that I would highly recommend.

Love, love, love Jack Calihan’s narration! To me, he is as good as Joe Arden, Sebastian York and Mason Lloyd!
