(1 customer review)

Description

James Henry Breasted (1865 – 1935) was for his day, one of the top Egyptologist of  the United States.  This study of the history of Egypt (published in 1906, prior to the discovery of King Tutankhamen’s tomb in 1924) was a seminal work in the field of Egyptology.  Mr. Breasted’s writings bring the lives of the rulers of Ancient Egypt to life.  Although, some theories are dated, this book continues to be a good reference of early archaeological study.

    Excellent History!
The author had to do quite a bit of research on this one. I love history so this was right up my alley. Hats off to the narrator who had to pronounce some pretty tricky names! Very informative!
