A quaint town full of secrets. A string of bizarre occurrences. An unconvincing suicide…

Jasmine Moore is a local favorite who is unusually gifted—she has random visions of the future that usually culminate in disaster. She can also understand her loyal golden retriever. Literally.

When a body is discovered in the small, sheltered town of Blackwood Cove, the authorities are ready to write it off as a suicide. But for her, something doesn’t quite add up.

Taking up the mantle of detective, her insatiable thirst for justice sets her on a path to solve the baffling case. Sifting through decades of forgotten town history and long-buried secrets, she begins to piece together a far stranger story than a simple suicide.

Will Jasmine unravel the startling truth in time?

  1. Erica Freeman

I loved this book! Jaz is sweet and smart and totally adorable as a lead, her warm personality just shines through and I found myself really liking her, and then we met Luffy, who totally steals the show and my heart, I want a goofy, loving talking dog, I love him so much.

The pacing of the book was really good as we were introduced to a wide cast of characters and events proceed at a decent speed whilst keeping some of the tension and mystery of who committed the murder and why.

Ann Richardson is a lovely narrator and perfect for the feel of this book, with her sweet tones for Jaz and pretty decent deadpan or just deeper voices for the male characters, she really brought life to each character.

I was given this as a free audiobook and have left this review voluntarily.

This is a lighthearted and fun cozy mystery. Jasmine is sweet ( and I love her visions) and Luffy is adorable – together they are a perfect sleuthing team. The story is fast paced and enjoyable and the narrator, Ann Richardson, narrates the book brilliantly.
