Description

She fought him. He claimed her anyway.

Ruari of Clan Dundalk knew Arielle was his mate as soon as he set eyes on her, but he had planned to court her properly. When she arrives in his lands as an uninvited stowaway, however, he decides it is time for this beautiful, headstrong female to be taught her place over his knee.

As she is led to her new mate’s castle naked, blushing, and sore, with only a sheet to hide her helpless arousal, Arielle’s fury at being bared and spanked is exceeded only by her desperate need to be thrown to the ground and ravaged by the brute who just punished her so shamefully.

She won’t have to wait long….

I enjoy the world that Delta James has created in this series. I love the strong female characters who give their mates a run for their money. My only issue is that I want an epilogue.

I throughly enjoy Delta James audiobooks. This story of Rauri and Arielle dominate man and hard headed woman. Jack Calihan made the even better.

This book was really good in spite of how dominant the men are. Ruari is just as bad as Alaric in Warlord with his dominant ways. Gareth of Ravenscar makes an appearance in this book along with his mate Sloan. Ruari was beta to Gareth. His brother dies and he becomes clan alpha.

Arielle, Rowen’s sister from Warlord, ran away from Alaric’s clan because she was punished by Alaric’s beta. She stowed away on a ship headed for Ruari’s clan and was caught. Ruari knew Arielle was his mate when he first saw her when he was at Alaric and Rowen’s clan home. He is a dominating as Alaric. Arielle tries to escape from him more than once and he catches her each time. The last time, he catches and claims her. They cannot be secluded as a mated pair since Ruari has to go off to a war against villains Edwin and Simon. Of course, Arielle interferes and brings another female with her. They are both are punished. One of the mates said it right. She said if they are b@stards, then we are sick b!tches for loving them. Ruari was something else. He wanted Arielle to be naked whenever they are alone. All in all, this was a good book.

Jack Calihan did an outstanding job with the narration! He could read the phonebook and sound sexy.
