Description

ne day Kate Nash was a private investigator. She had a thriving enterprise, a supportive boyfriend, and the perfect business partner. The next day she was arrested for murder. “It’s not me. I don’t care what you see on the surveillance tape. I was at home asleep.”

The police showed her the film. She couldn’t tell the difference between herself and the woman on the video. She had been a detective long enough to know people spent the rest of their lives in prison on less evidence than the police had on her.

She couldn’t come up with an explanation for who the person could be or where she came from. When she did found out, it changed her life forever.

I enjoyed this book, although I did get a bit confused who everybody was towards the end when no body was who they seemed and switched identities at the drop of a hat. I loved the whole twin thing and find the subject fascinating, how to people raised apart can be so much a like, it adds another depth to the character Kate Nash. This is book two in the series and I listen to book one a while ago and can’t really remember it (might have to re listen to it again to correct that) but I didn’t feel like I missed anything, meaning each book can be read or listen to as stand alone book. The characters were interesting but I did think Kate was a little bit to trusting for a private investigator but I just loved her dog Chilly. Now to decide if I should listen to book one of to onto book three.
They say everybody has a body double or doppelganger out there somewhere but what do you do when yours gets you arrested for murder? That is exactly what happens to private investigator Kate Nash. Clearing her name is a team effort and sends Kate’s world spinning because not only does she look exactly like her but she is also good at finding trouble just like Kate. Kate is an only child and when her family fails to answer her questions satisfactorily Kate knows the I oh way to find out the truth is to track down her double. Even if it means getting the attention of the mob. Can Kate and her friends find the answers they need?
The narrator was okay and fairly pleasant to listen to but Kate’s business partner voice was to high pitched for my liking and it just grated.
I was given this free review copy audiobook from audiobooksunleashed and I have voluntarily left this review.
