I absolutely loved this book, the characters were well rounded and endearing, the world building was fantastic, and the plot original. I was absorbed from the start, and couldn’t put it down, I was so disappointed when I finished the book! The narration was great, very expressive and the short tunes sung as part of the therapy the CF’s sang were incredible. I can’t wait to start the next book.

First book in the series though reading each book in order isn’t absolutely necessary but it is handy to understanding what is going on. The first book follows Laylea a puppy surrendered to a family made up by a witch her son and husband a genetically engineered super solder all in hiding from the group that wants the Super Solder back and Laylea if they knew she was with them. Its a fun romp with secrets in secrets and multiple worlds that don’t know about each other
