Description

Chris and Danny Friessen return in a short sweet novella about unexpected consequences in their young married life.

Chris and JD have barely had time to come to terms with the fact they’re just married but barely know each other. The man she married has a side to him that is not only a dominant alpha quality but is also impatient. But the chemistry between them is the glue that holds them together.

Danny and Evie are stuck in big city, Seattle, and between law school, studying, and work, Evie can never find the right time to share a secret she knows could be more than Danny could handle.

But as both couples soon learn, life’s little surprises could end up being a greater gift than they could ever expect.

Okay, I would love to be able to be a parent that had the right things to say, at the right times. I also would love that children, no matter what their age, would understand and listen, as well as realize that a greater number of years on this earth, often gave a person, a greater degree of life experiences and knowledge.
If only life could be as an author writes it!!
This, you may have gathered, is a story, I would wish would happen, in this way, but, I feel, with so many individuals, I can see conflict in the form of rebellion against just having someone “interfering” in the others adult life.

This one really tugged on my heart and I loved it!

For such a short audio (1 hour, 27 minutes) Unexpected Consequences sure packed a punch with me. While you might be able to enjoy this story without reading any of the others in the very enjoyable The Friessens series, I really suggest that you read books 12 (Danny and Evie) and 13 (Chris and J.D.) first. I say that because Unexpected Consequences is about both of these couples.

The blurb for the story lets you know that J.D. has taken a home pregnancy test but there is so much more to this short story. This one really tugged on my heart and brought on all kinds of tears, some a bit sad, others because parts of this story were just so darn tender.

If you are a fan of The Friessens series you really won’t want to miss this one.

Regarding the narration…Teri Clark Linden also narrated book 13, In the Charm and, like with that one, she did a great job with Unexpected Consequences. I’ve been a bit critical of some of the narrators used for other books by Ms. Eckhart but Teri Clark Linden really does a wonderful job and made listening to this story very enjoyable.
