I enjoyed this book. This is the third book in the series and it works well as part of the series of as a standalone. I like the characters as they work well with each other but it is the mystery that really had me hooked, just what was going on. Every time you thought you knew, the bad guy’s when get by the defences and the story would taken another twist as Kate would come up with a new line to investigate. Talk about a dog with a bone and I don’t just mean Chilli the dachshund, Kate just wouldn’t give up no matter how many times her and her friends life’s were threatened, just the sort of character that is good to have around and it certainly makes for an entertaining listen. The story is also balanced out with a bit of romance, a good deal of danger and if course mystery.
How do you explain how a girl who went missing in a boating accident ten years ago suddenly turns up dead on your door step with articles about you in her pockets? That is the problem kate Nash faces when she opens her front do to retrieve her morning paper. It’s a good job Kate and her business partner Amy are private investigators Kate Nash will not rest until she finds out. Even Amy and her boyfriend getting attacked won’t stop the investigation. But who doesn’t want the secret coming out? And what happened to the rest of the Tucker’s? The more Kate investigates the more someone tries to scare her off and the only way to solve what happened to Ivy is to work out what happened on the night an entire family disapeared.
I liked the narrator, she did a good job voicing the characters and thing my the story to life.
