Description

Nostalgia tastes like root beer, sweet and dark.

Teri is sinking in a morass of pain. Her dream of being a jockey was brutally shattered by an accident that left her broken in every way. Tired of worrying her family, she seeks out the comforts of her childhood – horses and stables and a sweet, blond boy. But the boy is grown now and so is she. Will Teri be able to remove the armor that’s been holding her together long enough to find solace in the arms of an old friend?

The Turning Point is a short audio story that takes place after the events in the Blaze of Glory series.

This was a very quick listen. I have not listened to the others in the series but this was good enough to have me going back to start this series. The characters were sweet and love how they grew up together. Can’t wait to start the series and know some of the characters and their stories. The narrator did great.

This may be short, but it’s packed with a great story. We meet Teri, who was severely injured and now is facing a career change. Coming home may not be the best idea, family just doesn’t understand. Until she turns to Seth. It’s quick, but powerful and makes me want to listen to the others in this series. My first M Garzon listen, narrated by Heather S Auden, who does a remarkable job and it will not be my last!
