The Snow Maid

Bill Carter was starving and dying of exposure when he fell asleep by the standing stone in the Russian Arctic. Sacrificing his life to save his friends, he never expected to wake up, warm, safe, and healed, in the presence of the immortal Snow Maid.

Polina had been alone for decades, her youth slowly draining away as belief in her faded in the world above. She had taken Bill’s life in trade for those of his companions. Will the heat of their passion ignite an eternal love, or are the differences between them too great?

This is an absolutely enchanted tale.

The Snow Maid is a beautifully written story that will draw you right in. It mixes romance, seduction, eroticism and Russian folklore into into a really excellent plot.

I’m not going to give away any more of the plot than has been provided in the author’s description. The narrator does a good job with the voices. Personally, I would have preferred a female voice for this material, but that is a personal preference.

This one had a different style. This is a new to me author and narrator. The story was really good and different. The narrator did a great job as well. I enjoyed how different the story was to my normal.
