Description

It’s time to start over—and maybe even find love.

As the mayor of Birch River, J.B. White’s life is already secure and settled. There is just one thing still missing…and that’s someone to share it with. After a previous experience left him hesitant to let another woman into his life, it takes reassurance from his deputy to convince J.B. to place an advertisement for a mail-order bride.

Fiona Alexander has a dream—to perform her singing on a respectable stage. Yet growing up in her father’s saloon is a far stretch from being the type of venue she longs for. And along with the usual rowdy crowd she is faced with daily, now Fiona has begun to receive letters from a stalker. Fiona knows that she needs to escape this life, and when she finds J.B’s advert for a mail-order bride, she thinks that maybe this could be her chance.

Fiona is thrilled when she arrives at Birch River—and even more when she meets J.B. Slowly, she begins to adjust to her life in this new town, which comes with the chance to perform at the local theater. And as her relationship with J.B. continues to deepen, Fiona begins to relax and think that maybe she has found her place in the world at last.

But when her stalker suddenly resurfaces in Birch River, Fiona must decide if she should trust J.B. with the truth…or risk escaping the threat on her own.

The Mayor’s Stalked Mail Order Bride is a breathtaking journey of finding peace in love. Will Fiona ever be able to escape the threat plaguing her? And what will J.B. think when he learns why she married him?

  1. Danny Harr

This is another good book in the Birch river series. The Mayor which we already know from the other books in this series. He sends off for a mail order bride. Fiona lives with her father in a saloon that he owns. She sings and helps in the saloon but that’s it. But people assumes she’s probably sleeping with customers. She wants to go somewhere no one knows her. There is a good story line in this book. Gina Dobbs does a great job narrating this book. I received a free copy of this book from audiobooks unleashed but that has no influence on my review.

I really enjoyed this next installment of the Birch River Series. After the last book, I really wanted a story about the mayor. This author made him human, a man that can make mistakes. The characters Amelia Rose creates are realistic and well thought out. I liked the storyline as well. Incorporating the local Sioux tribe and the storyline that follows was great. I look forward to more from this author and this series.
