Description

All she’s ever wanted was to be respected as a doctor. Could marrying the sheriff of Daisy Creek be the chance she’s been waiting for?

As the oddball in the family and the eldest daughter of a renowned doctor, Gina has always wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps. The men around her refuse to accept her ambitions and hard-earned qualifications, and Gina knows she will never achieve her dream in a small-minded society like Richmond, Virginia.

When she finds the ad for a mail-order bride from the sheriff of Daisy Creek, Gina knows that this is her chance to strike out for herself and find acceptance as a doctor.

After watching many of his friends succumb happily to wedlock, Daisy Creek sheriff Danny has decided that it is time for him to settle down. After his advert for a mail-order bride brings little success, Danny is about to throw in his hat, when he receives a reply from Gina.

Danny is intrigued by this female doctor, and believes that she will make a good fit for both him and also for the needs of the town’s people of Daisy Creek.

But life out West is rough and hard-going, and Gina is soon faced with challenges that no amount of medical training can prepare her for. From bloody gunfights to deadly diseases, Gina must rely on her own strength and Danny’s support if she ever hopes to make a home in Daisy Creek and find her place in the world at last.

The Mail-Order Doctor and the Sheriff is an uplifting story of perseverance and strength of heart. As Gina endeavors to adapt to her demanding life in Daisy Creek, will her many trials risk leading her away from Danny and the life she longs for? Or will she find the strength to see that only the truest love can survive life’s toil and grief?

  1. Misty

Wonderful story. It has a Dr. Quinn vibe to it. I loved the characters and how and why this bride was sent for. The story was fantastic and I loved the organic flow to it.

  2. Jocelyne

This is the fourth book in the Daisy Creek Brides Series, a Mail-Order Bride Romance. Danny and Gina’s story is sweet, clean, entertaining, and heartwarming. This story is different than the other books in the series. Gina Dobbs did a good job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series.

  3. Danny Harr

This is another great book in this great series. All these books is great. If everyone knew how good these are there would be a million reviews. In this book a female doctor goes to Daisy Creek and has a connection with the sheriff. There is many things that comes up with her being accepted. This is another five star book. Gina Dobbs did a great job narrating this book. I received a copy of this book from audiobooks unleashed but that has no influence on my review.

  4. Benita Dilley

    Duplicative.

A young woman who has trained at the only medical college admitting women is unable to make her hometown clinic work answers a mail-order bride ad …This is this book’s main premise. While this woman is from Virginia, the plot duplicates many aspects of another book…the variance? The other female doctor was from Louisiana. Both heroines study the way the Sioux use herbal remedies. More originality please!
