Jeremy Walker is accused of killing his wife. The sheriff’s sister, Kate Hammond, applies for the job as his housekeeper in order to try and find the proof they need to hang Jeremy. Barbara Goss has delivered another well written story. This story brings a bit of mystery and suspense as there is a murder to be solved. After entering into a loveless, forced marriage, Helen Walker is murdered… but did her new husband do it?
I thoroughly enjoyed Roberto Scarlato’s narration.

I loved the mystery in the book. I had no idea until the end of the book of who done it and why. I loved the relationship in this book between the two well developed characters.
