At first, I didn’t care for Con but he turned out to be a really good man/beast towards Katie. Katie was one tough cookie. I like how she accepted him, even though he was not totally human and joined together with him. She came back to him after leaving a few years earlier (she was on an assignment). He made a bargain with her that would take the rest of her life to fulfill for him to get her sister back, who is a nun. Con was extremely dominant and loved punishing. If I think about it, Katie did too. They were great for each other. Before he knew Katie was back, he had another woman servicing him and once he decided to marry Katie, he had her removed from his house very abruptly and she was not too happy about that. This led to other issues, but Con takes care of them. Great scene in the airport restroom with the bad guy and Con. Con was too smooth in how he handled the situation. I was surprised by who the person was that had most of Con’s people killed. I love Delta James’ writing style and this was really good book. I will move on to the next book in the series. As always, JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

Excellent audiobook I love how characters from other series are mentioned. Delta James never fails to disappoint me. JT Farrell was great as well. I slow the speed down to a .9 sounds better for me. JT Farrell was great.
