The first thing that drew me to this book was the title. I found it intriguing. As the tale unfolded, I thought that the story was going to be about two teenagers finding love even though they were carrying baggage from their pasts. Then the author added a layer of complexity to the story by weaving in the life of the sister, who had gone missing. I found the characters to be believable and the story to be both tragic and glorious. Megan Carter does a wonderful job as the narrator. I requested this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

This is the 2nd book in the Gavert City series but the story stands alone, although mentions of it are in the first book. This one is definitely just as twisty as the first with the cult focus and the disappearance six years ago of Mellie Gardner. These characters have been through so much emotional damage from their pasts but still have a lot of fight for life left. I would say the romance is mild but i think it’s expected for YA.
The narrator, Megan Carter, has so much talent! Not only does each character have distinct voices but she sings too! Very enjoyable performance.

See Me, See Me Not is the second book in the Gavert City series. You don’t need to read the first book to understand/appreciate this book but if you do you’ll get some background. In book one Tessa’s mom confronts to main suspect of the angel killings, believing that her daughter Mellie was the first victim whose body was never found. In See Me, See Me Not we find out what happened to Mellie all those years ago. Once again, Elodie Nowodazkij weaves together a gripping story. Emotional and suspenseful See Me, See Me Not goes unexpected places, places you don’t see coming but also make sense.
