Description

Love struck me at the early age of five. The boy turned into a man, and I fell even deeper. Guy Webb had no idea my fragile heart belonged to him for so many years. He was too busy being my brother’s best friend and a star on the football field. He was my daydream and consumed every single thought, but he was always one step from my reach.

Beartooth Ranch was our home. The rich ranch land raised us, fostered our laughs and losses, and even gained a new family member when Guy moved in for his sophomore year of high school.

I hid my love for years. But now he’s back. Guy Webb returned a broken soldier after serving his country all over the atlas. And now it’s my job to help him heal.

My family lost everything with his return, and I can only hope I survive it.

Holy cow, this book! You will go through every single emotion with this book and you will feel them Hard! Molly has been in love with Guy her whole life, even though Guy his her brother’s best friend. Tragedy strikes this family and through the heart wrenching struggle a beautiful love is able to break through and help heal some of everyone’s broken hearts. I have to admit that I cried a lot through this book, but it was all worth it. This was a first book for me from this author, but I can definitely see her becoming a favorite in the future.
The narration in this book was amazing! Even though this is a dual narration, you won’t hear Jeremy’s voice for quite a while but these two definitely put their heart and soul into this book.

Wow, I have listened to a heck of a lot of books but wow, just wow. It really is hard to come up with the words that can give this justice. While reading this, I felt like I was living this life with them. I almost never cry while reading but this one had me ALL blubbery. I read some reviews that says “ugly cry”. I didn’t think I would as I don’t normally. Yes, if you listen/read, you will ugly cry. It may be only once or 5 times but it will happen but know that by the end of it, the crying will be filling with sadness, joy and hope. This is so good! The narrators did so great which added to the feelings felt while listening to it. Bravo! If you like emotional books, read/listen to this right now!

When I first saw the cover for this book, my reaction was to grab it. A man and a horse, how can you go wrong? Never did I think I would be on a journey so beautiful, full of love, tears, and loss. Molly has loved Guy all her life. He is her brother’s best friend and from childhood, that crush had turned into love. When the two finally gave into their feelings, Guy, and her brother Amos were on their way to serve our country. Would they be back? And what would their life be like when they returned? I absolutely love Molly. She is a strong woman, and no matter the circumstance, plowed through and made the best of it. Guy is a complex man, and needs the love of that strong woman. With real life issues of loss and PTSD, we get to live their lives, and you will tear up, if not ugly cry through it. It’s heart wrenching and heart warming. I loved it!

The narration by Lacy Laurel will leave you with a book hangover! She pours every emotion into this story, you can hear her perform through her own tears as the story goes on, and feel the love as life gets better. She brought the story through each climactic point with me hanging on to the story, wanting more and see where Molly’s life was going to take her. Jeremy York’s portrayal of Guy is just as emotional as Guy comes to terms with his life and his love. It’s truly a beautifully narrated story.

    Royal Love Book One.

This story is told as a family story for a girl’s report.

Molly Marshall has lived on her family’s horse farm all of her life, and she has been in love with Guy Webb for just as long. As the best friend of Molly’s brother, Amos, Guy hasn’t been able to tell her that he feels the same, until he comes back for her high school graduation. The next time he comes back is so steeped in pain, the two cannot truly connect. To heal, Molly’s grandfather assigns Guy to the stables to help Molly train the horses. Working with Molly’s new horse, Royal Atlas, allows Guy to heal.

If you’re looking for a story about generations of love and heartbreak, this is the book for you! However, have a box or two of tissues, because this book will rip your heart out and stomp on it several times right up until the end.

Wow, this is an amazing, heartfelt story! HJ Bellus has written a gem of a novel, one that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. Her characters are well developed, you can not help but fall in love them, especially the leads, Molly and Guy. Secondary characters play a strong role in their story as well and they are awesome as well. Amos’ quotes at the beginning of the chapters is a great touch. The storylines throughout are interesting and real, they sweep you in and tug at your heart. The inclusion of PTS was well done too. HJ Bellus thank you for this wonderful story, it has the makings for a great movie, would love to see it happen too.

I listened to the Audible edition. The narrators, Jeremy York & Lacy Laurel, are awesome. Thank you for the great listen! They perform well together and their performances reflect the drama and emotions of the storylines drawing the listener feel even more. Thank you for another great listen!
