Description

When friends join ex-soldier Jonah on a European vacation, they discover that the beautiful German town where he was once stationed is now completely vacant. But the strangeness doesn’t end there. One of their group falls into a coma, another sees a strange creature, and large mounds of dirt appear everywhere.

Before they can determine just what is happening, Jonah realizes that something very deadly is watching from the shadows, waiting to hunt them. The pleasant vacation turns into absolute terror as Jonah and his friends struggle to survive.

But what they stumble across in the depths of an abandoned military base threatens not only their lives, but also all of mankind.

In this lightweight horror tale, we come across Behemoths, Infectors, and of course, Molters. The story reminds me of a cross between Pod People and Alien. Our protagonist Jonah disliked the life he led and the wimpy person he was. As the apocalypse appeared and spread, Jonah transformed himself into a soldier and leader of sorts. Some of the technicals are off and require more study; like the Squad Automatic Rifle (SAR). Did he mean a Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW)? Anyway, the story wasn’t too bad. I gave extra credit for a bit of originality. This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

This was a really great listen. Its kind of hard to describe! Let’s just say it was different! In a good way! I really enjoyed this and would recommend this listen. The narration was good and the character development was a little confusing at 1st, but once it gets going it becomes clear.
