Is it possible to find love twice?

Since the recent death of her husband, Maisie’s world has been bleak and grey.

She finds hope…in becoming a mail-order bride.

With his business thriving as the town’s newly established tailor, Carter Williams has built a good home for himself in Daisy Creek.

Yet, he comes to realize that without a family to call his own, his life is still empty and unfulfilled. But when he finds Maisie’s advertisement as a mail-order bride, Carter begins to think he may have found the solution to his lonely heart.

As Maisie and her daughters move to Daisy Creek, Carter is quick to fall under the spell of this beautiful woman and her charming daughters. And it seems as though together, they might just be the missing piece to his life that Carter had been searching for.

But with Maisie’s heart still caught up in her feelings for her late husband, will she ever find a way to let go of the past and truly accept Carter?

Or will opening herself to love for a second time be a risk too great for her to take?

  1. Faith

This is a very sweet story. Carter’s patience and kind caring are so romantic. The romance is lost on Maisie as she tries to get past the loss of her husband. It was sad to see the slow response to such a sweet approach from Carter. This story was inspirational as the reader watches God heal Maisie. Her girls were such cute characters!

The narrations was good. Sometimes there was not enough change in the voices of the characters and it was hard to catch who was speaking in the conversation.

I requested this audio book from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

  2. Danny Harr

This is a excellent book. Maisie is in need of someone to help her she has two kids and her husband dies. Carter is lonely and wants a family. He sends off for a mail order bride. They are a good fit. I think Maisie should of been more appreciative I felt like she took a lot of things for granted. But she was nice and I guess needed time. This is a well written story. Gina Dobbs does a great job narrating this book. I was given a copy of this book from audiobook unleashed but that has no influence on my review.

  3. Benita Dilley

A young destitute widowed mother from South Dakota, facing a long winter and possible starvation, brings her two small daughters to Daisy Creek to wed the town’s new tailor. Clean. Sweet. Second chance love .

I agree with a reviewer above that narrator could differentiate characters by more change in voice.
