Heartfelt Cases Book 1: The Collins Case

A young family disappears …

FBI Special Agent Julie Ann Davidson isn’t assigned the case, but she works it anyway because she knows the Collins family. Add in a baffling case of internet thievery, and Ann and her partner, Patrick Duncan, have plenty to think about.

Who took the Collins family and why?

One thing’s certain: time is running out.

If Ann and Patrick don’t work fast, Rachel Collins and her kids will die.

This is a story of a man’s past catching up with him. Unfortunately, his new life, including wife and children were part of the collateral damage.
The FBI, whilst on another case, was alerted to a setup, which in turn, led to the kidnapped victims.
There’s a lot of people looking to their faith in the Lord, which is an integral part of this story. If you are offended by such references, I suggest this may not be a suitable read for you.

This was a great read. I love a good mystery and adventure. I read the eBook quite some time ago and it is such a good read I enjoyed it as much listening to it now. This book added the special quality of being a clean, Christian story. Looking forward to the next one.

The narration was very good. Brought the characters and story to life.

I enjoyed this story. The beginning gripped my attention, but it lost some emotional impact as the story progressed. I liked the characters, but in some instances, they seemed unrealistic in their reactions to the events happening in their lives. I liked the story enough that I will look into the next book of the series. Kristin Condon’s narration was okay, but her delivery was wooden and inexpressive at times. Sometimes her voice was so soft, she sounded muddled, and it was hard to hear what she was saying, even with the volume turned up on my earphones. I was given a free copy of the audiobook from Audiobooks Unleased, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
