Description

Heart warming story! This was my first Marian Snowe novel and you can bet I will be listening to more of her works!
The narrator , Sophie Daniels has some serious vocal skills! She brings this book to life! She is in my top 10 narrators!

Cant say I’ve ever listen to F/F book before. This narrator does an amazing job. I will be looking for more by her. The story of Nan And Cass. Nan leave her terrible pass to find comfort and she does but with the secrets between her and Nan and their ability to trust can it be done. The little girls was terrific in this. very heartwarming and touching story.

This is my first book by the Author. I really enjoyed it. The narrator was great. It was a nice easy listen. I found myself relating to both main characters. Finding love is never easy. But when you do….some people sacrifice it for others even though it’s not what they want. In the end…if it’s meant to be it will.

This audiobook was good! I thought the Narrator Sophie Daniels was spot on. She carried the storyline and each of its characters flawlessly. I really couldn’t say there was one voice that stuck out or took away from the audiobook.
As for the story… I liked the 3 main characters of Nan, Cass & Annalee and of course how and what brought them together. (Washed ashore mermaid 🧜♀️) Once I started listening to it, I realized this book was much more then I thought. You had one characters who’s hiding her demons with past addiction and another hiding her fear of loss and trust. In the middle of all that you have an 8 year old who believes in mermaids and love. Now you add Holly the vindictive ex and all heck breaks loose. I found it hard to stop listening once I really got into it. Which in all reality was from the beginning.
I will say it felt like it took them forever to simply speak there truths. They had many opportunity to do so, but time and time again put it off.
Yet, It wasn’t enough to take away from the story. I would still recommend you giving this a listen. 👍
