Once again I find a book with a good story and then the language prohibits finishing it. I was really into the mystery and the romance etc. Well, I do not like foul language and by the time I made it through 6 chapters I knew I could not listen to this book anymore. I am always amazed when an author seems to have such a limited vocabulary that they resort to inappropriate language to express their characters when the dictionary is full of words that are clean and express the idea just as well. I don’t like to give negative reviews, but I couldn’t come up with anything else for this book.
The narrator, Megan Carter, was acceptable but not great.
I requested this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

This is a YA suspense and romance story. It’s set in a small town in Texas. I felt like the theme and characters are appropriate for this genre. I saw several reviews about the language which didn’t bother me and it’s reality how young adults talk. I really enjoyed having the killers point of view woven into this story which you don’t always get to see that layer. The narrator was new to me and I thought she did a pretty good job.

I love good mysteries and Fear Me, Fear Me Not was suspenseful with twists I didn’t see coming. This is the first book I’ve read by Elodie Nowodazkij and I was impressed. Usually with mysteries I can see who the killer is but Fear Me, Fear Me Not kept me guessing. The killer’s perspective really added to the chilling story and ramped up the tension even further.
I received this audiobook for free from Audiobooks Unleashed. This is my honest and voluntary review.
