Joe Mac was a legendary homicide detective until his vision was lost in the line of duty and he was forced into retirement. Yes, it seems incongruous that a blind man could help in a police investigation, but by using a newly minted police detective, who was willing to learn from someone who had done it all, then you have the perfect detective duo.
The crime committed was, in one respect, personal to each but also of a string of crimes that had yet to be solved by the FBI.
A new set of eyes, with almost complete recall ability, partnered with someone that had the ability to read a clue, and the responses of suspects for the truthfulness or lies.
Together with the Raven “Po”, who had an ethereal quality about his exchanges with the two.
Yes, it’s a very good read!
