I’m not normally into paranormal but this book has some massive hype so I thought I’d give it a go and I am so glad I did! it doesnt really focus on the paranormal part more focused on the relationship between the two characters which was very intense !
it is a dark romance and that was more focused on but boy was it hot!
narration as per was perfect by Meghan Kelly, she does both female and Male parts brilliantly
highly recommended, especially if you’re not sure about paranormal , this has made me want to give more a go
This book starts of hot and only gets hotter throughout the whole thing. In addition to that, you find yourself questioning all that is happening and when the answer finally comes, shocked to your core. An amazing story with a fantastic ending.
Narration was absolutely phenomenal with this book!
There has only been one other book in the over 50 years that I have been reading that I quit reading in disgust at the material (the other one was HELTER SKELTER when I was 17 years old).

So, why did I give it 2 crowns instead of the minimum 1? Because the author can write. She can set a scene and before we met the rapist, Kassandra (the victim) is set up as an undercover agent with edge-of-your-seat anticipation.
Narration: Then there is the wonderful voice of Meghan Kelly. She gives drama that brings you into a story. Unfortunately, this time it was bringing me into the scene of a rape disguised as a D/s scene.

Sara Fields is a master at creating dark BDSM stories and Consumed is no exception. The storylines and characters are interesting and well developed. The lead, Kassandra, an agent for the interpol, while attending a party at billionaire Markos Varela’s place in Greece she starts snooping around attempting to find dirt on him. She finds a locked room on the lower level but is caught and brought to straight to Marcos who then forces Kassandra to submit to him. He also realized she is a warrior of light and he is determined to Consume her, Body, Mind and Soul. Taking Kassandra by force he does things to her to the point where she is begging for more. Suddenly she is back home in her bed, she does not know how she got there. The story gets more and more interesting, things happen and she has no idea if they are real or in her head. She also has no idea of who she, that her bloodline is a direct descendent of the warrior of light, the light to Markos’ darkness, the good to his evil. Marcos is a vampire and one badass, hardcore Dom who demands to have his way. Markos & Cassandra story is an intense one, it is a page turner and will make your hair stand stand on end. The Kindle included an epilogue which I really appreciated and Markos love for Kassandra.
I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the mega talented Meghan Kelly. She performs the voices of all the characters, she brings them to life, gives each their own personality and voice. Her Markos was strong and demanding, her Kassandra vulnerable and confused at time, she made you feel his power and her desperation and need. Meghan Kelly is an awesome voice performer and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for another great & entertaining listen🎧
Consumed by Sara Fields is a Standalone Dark Paranormal Romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Meghan Kelly. This is the second book of Sara’s that I have read and she did not disappoint. I highly enjoyed the twists in the story, it kept me highly engaged and wanting to know how it ends. The book does include rough, intense sexual scenes and strong BDSM Themes.
Meghan did an amazing job narrating and using different voices for Kassandra and Markos. She is very talented and always leaves me wanting more. This is the third book I have listened to that she has narrated and she never leaves me disappointed.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes Dark Romances, Paranormal Romance, and Alpha Males.
Give me a story with suspense and steam and I am in. Sara Fields always delivers, whether aliens or in this case vampires! This dark tale had me consumed the entire way through. Kassandra thought she knew how to handle a man like Marcos. But she didn’t realize who he really was and why she was attracted to him! When she comes face to face with him, all bets are off. What he wants, he gets, and she can’t stop him. But is he real? I have to say, the twists and turns in this story had me wondering all the way through. Marcos is a mesmerizing man, handsome, rich and powerful, but his true control comes through when he is with Kassandra. Kassandra is a tough one. I followed every move she made and the whole time, I was wondering what was real, what was a dream and would they finally unite! Fields does some incredible mind bending, infuses passion and hot scenes that are panty melting and will keep you wondering til the last scene! It’s a fantastic listen.
To deliver this book, a narrator that can pass on the darkness and give the mystery as well as the eroticism is key. Meghan Kelly is the perfect choice for this. She makes this story thrive, with the evilness of Marcos and the innocence of Kassandra. It all comes through in her performance with her inflections and cadence. I loved it!
I loved this story. But, it truly came alive listening to Meghan Kelly. She did a wonderful job with their voices! I will have to look for more books narrated by her!
