Description

We live in a world full of mystery, every single aspect of our lives is steeped in it. Even though human civilization and our mastery of science has allowed us to spread to every corner of the physical world, much remains unexplored and unexplained.

Even further less explored is a realm familiar to all in name, but unfamiliar in direct experience. This is the realm of the supernatural, or as some refer to it, the paranormal. Each year thousands of people across the globe experience that which they cannot explain.

These occurrences, often labelled as hauntings, possessions, or abductions, are well known by the masses. Yet, many believe these phenomenon to be the ravings of people gone mad.

What follows in this audiobook are 11 of the most bone chilling, mind twisting, and bizarre tales to have ever been documented. These tales are not for the faint of heart, nor are they for those with weak stomachs. Every passing day, tales just like these happen to thousands of people everywhere in the world.

The realm of science has no explanation yet for these events. Though the small community of paranormal investigators does continue to break new ground, they too remain in the dark. Like the rest of us, waiting in the dark for something to jump out and grab us. We wait for dawn to break and give us respite from the things that go bump in the night.

Here is a preview of what’s inside:

  • The Demon House of Indiana
  • The Popobowa
  • The Devil’s Bible – word of Satan or clever hoax?
  • Dog or Man? They walk upon hind legs and howl as dogs
  • The Caleuche
  • The Wasetka Wonder, the tale of America’s first documented possession
  • And much, much more!

This is an interesting collection of stories. They are quick and short tales about many of the world’s paranormal experiences and myths. You are given the facts of what is believed to have happened to people concerning these myths or occurrences and it is up to you to believe or not. The stories are full of accounts from around the world and are about many things that include curses, possession, monsters and more. I enjoyed hearing the stories from all around the world and from different cultures. Whether or not you believe the stories in this collection it is an engaging listen. Narrator Kevin Theis does a good job of moving the stories along at a good pace, but he does use a voice that is a little too cheerful for this subject matter.
