Thanksgiving Angels “Narrator C-, Story B, Holiday Mystery I did not care for this narrator because of the voice she chose for the heroine. Her secondary characters did not bother me as much. Plot reminds me of a 1930's screwball mystery comedy movie, complete with seance.”

Carson Hill Ranch Box Set – Books 4-6 “This is an entertaining, well narrated contemporary romance series, linked by the ranch setting and the main male characters being the sons of the Carson Ranch. Best read in order, but each is a complete story. Read #1 first to get the premise, though. 4. Fighting For Love. Carson Ranch is hit by natural disaster, bringing stress into the Anders Carson's new relationship, and those of the twins. Excellent characterization by narrator. 5. Wishing For Love. Carson Hill Ranch Box Set – Books 1-3 “These are a set of 3 (of 12) uplifting approx. 120 page romances about the men and women of the Carson Hill Texas cattle ranch. While some major characters make minor appearances in subsequent parts of the series, they can be read in any border, but I recommend reading #1 first to establish premises and setting.”
Gambled Pride “In this lightly Christian mail order bride tale, Rachel is a 18 year old woman fleeing the recent death of her mom-like older sister (caused by the abuse of their father) who follows her sister's plan to travel to Colorado to meet a mail order intended, equally damaged by past trauma.”
Hope Eternal “Beg a man with a traumatized family history, who is the twice jilted and most unlikely intended groom of Jubilee Springs, tries again in this mail order bride, entertaining, 2 hour audio, lightly Christian, highly improbable, mail-order romance story. In this series, some characters reappear in very minor parts in other books, but books can be read in any order or as stand alones.”

Blind Affection “Lightly Christian Mail Order- Someone 4 Everyone A scarred mail order bride from NY travels west to wed a man with a damaged leg in this predictable, but entertaining, lightly Christian mail order bride story. About 3 hours. #10 in series”
One Wicked Kiss “A great one evening, 2 hour audiobook of a Regency romance. Good narration.”
One Less Scandalous Earl “Caitlin, a Regency wallflower asks Gregory for a kiss, but while he refuses to kiss he does agree to matchmake. 3 hours of well narrated, predictable Regency romance.”
Earl of Harrington “Our hero has no interest in marriage because he would have to give up his favorite club membership. The heroine wants to study medicine. Entertaining. Good Brit narrator. About 3 hours. Series...read in any order.”

All the Ladies Love Coventry “A fun short (less than 2 hours) Regency romance between a dedicated rake attempting to build a new club and an older debutante that would have preferred Edinburgh.”
Catastrophe with a Count “Forgive the poor edit above. This is a review, edited. A FUN read awaits in this #8 of the 13 book Ravishing Regency series where we meet Samuel, the Earl of Kincardine, who is escaping England for America fleeing murder charges and corporate scandal seeking refuge in a new country and a life saving marriage to the only marriagable woman onboard, Miss Margaret Berry.”
Emigrating with an Earl “Can be read in any a series order”
Emigrating with an Earl “A FUN read awaits in this #8 of the 13 book Ravishing Regency series where we meet Samuel, the Earl of Kincardine, who is escaping England for America fleeing murder charges and corporate scandal seeking refuge in a new country and a life saving marriage to the only marriagable woman onboard, Miss Margaret Berry.”
Catastrophe with a Count “Count Anthony of Stratham encounters Nerissa when he sues her father for abdication of corporate fiduciary responsibility in this fun Regency era Carribbean romance. Series can be read in any order. almost drowned, and that’s the second worst thing that happened to him this week. Now dragged into a courtroom battle with the owner of the ship that sank, the 28-year-old Count seizes his chance for a better life by blackmailing his adversary’s daughter. All it takes is one invitation; all it takes is one night of passion. But Nerissa isn’t ready to be ruined, by the devilishly handsome count or anyone else, and she has more than enough tricks up her sleeve to take on the bankrupt lord. Will Count Anthony stick to his resolve to ruin and blackmail his archenemies dau”
Marooned with a Marquis “In this short enjoyable, character driven story, we are treated to an enjoyable Regency era romance where Adena Garland is taking a walk on the beach only to find the rising tide has stranded her, only to meet the Marquis of Dewsbury, equally stranded. Other series main characters make major appearances in this and other books in the series but they work in any order.”
Beached with a Baronet “A bit unbelievable, but I guess that is why it is called fiction, this Regency era short novel tells us about Sir Moses of Wandorne, a recluse, who finds a bedraggled, blue-stocking Chloe Vaughn on his doorstep demanding entry to her life. Enjoyable.”
Voyage with a Viscount “James, Viscount Paendly, of Regency era England, bored with life encounters Rowena, an upper class woman who has just fled an ill fated elopement. This is the fifth in a series of eight Ravishing Regencies, where reading in order is not mandatory.”
Charming Her Rogue “Lady Catherine Langdon has special powers and tangles with Asher Rossington, the Marquess of Seabrook, an espionage agent for England during WWI in this entertaining story from the time travel series.”
Courting Gina “Lightly Christian Utah Mail Order Bride Story In the opening chapters we have a delightful review of the mail order couples of the series' nooks, but this story can be easily enjoyed without having read them. When asked to review this book, I purchased #1 in the series and did it to prepare, but would have not needed to. In this book, a Utah woman (Gina) who works as a nanny for her extended family considers a relationship with the local Pepper Gulch Sherriff (Riley). Story is hopeful, positive, sex-free and lightly Christian.”
Peril with a Prince “Enhanced with professional narration, this is an entertaining and steamy story of a female espionage age agent seeks to allude the man hunting her in Regency era, post revolution France.”
Highland Honor – Scottish Highland Romance “A Highland Romeo and Juliet Story. Conan and Una meet when very young at a Clan gathering before their relationship grows closer over time, but while their clans diverge. An interesting Highland take on Romeo and Juliet...young love facing family feuds. Narration is good but would have been better with a Scottish accent.”
Love Before Honor “Pay attention in chapter 1 when Sir Gerald of 1228 time travels to the 1800's, Regency era. Delightful Outlander drought fill-in. Engaging story. Solidly performed narration.”
Love Before Honor “Knight of Yore Time Travels to Regency Era Pay attention in chapter 1 when Sir Gerald on the medieval era time travels to the Regency era. Engaging story. Solidly performed narration.”
Glitter and Gold: A Canary Club Anthology “Three Jazz/Prohibition Era YA Novellas. 1. Gilded Cage. Masie leaves her covent school to return home to her father, bootleggers Dutch Schultz, and a troubled mother. Very good narration. 2. All That Glitters. June, a prohibition era flapper, is involved with Dutch Schultz's son, but the crime empire is crumbling as is the web of deceit she has used to construct her identity. A fun story set in an era underutilized by historic romance writers. This series really grew on me during this story. The hero, JD, in this book is brother to Masie, heroine of book 1. Read in series order. 3. Nothing Gold. Dickey, a down on his luck guy falls for a high brow debutante.”
A Royal Bride “Time Travel Romance During Scottish Clearances This is #4 in a 5 story series about a woman who has awakened naked and with no memory of her life, but is now living with a family in the Scottish Highlands when they are evicted during the clearances. The big questions about the story are NOT resolved in this story. For that, you need to do the entire series. Cliffhanger alert! If Gabaldon=100, this book is a solid 75. Less sex than in book 1. Other series linking elements: character names, white buck image, heroine awakes naked with no memories. The narrator is very professional, but my enjoyment would have been enhanced with a setting authentic accent, rather than a harsh American read.”
Modern Day Bride “This is #3 in a 5 story series about a WWI era woman who awakes naked and with no memory of her life The big questions about the story are NOT resolved in this story. For that, you need to do the entire series. Cliffhanger alert! If Gabaldon=100, this book is a solid 75. Less sex than in book 1. Other series linking elements: character names, white buck image, heroine awakes naked with no memories.”
Victorian Bride “Oh....start with book 1 in series...this is #2.”
Victorian Bride “A sexy time travel romance set in the Victorian era. Each book in the series has a full story, but there is a mystery that weaves through the entire series. Times are vague, but series spans centuries. If Diana Gabaldon's Outlander =100, this is a 85 on my time travel romance scale. Other series linking elements: character names, white buck image, heroine awakes naked with no memories. NOT historically accurate, BUT very entertaining historic romance novel.”
Calm Surrender “Kamari, an Indian-white mixed race teacher, becomes involved with the father of one of her students as she hides her mother from arrest. Book 4 in series, but works as stand alone. Hero in this book is the brother of heroes in books 1-3.”
Love Letters “Melissa, a paid companion to a wealthy heiress, falls for her boss's beau as she writes him letters in her mistress's name as he serves his time as a POW during the Civil War. Can they work in out as they live out west on the Ponderosa? Set during the Civil War. Hero is brother to the heroes in books 1 and 2 of this series. Books can be read in any order.”
Wild Storm “Storm Peckham is the mixed race daughter of a former trapper who now ranches. Because her father sold her older sisters, her mother decides to raise her as a male. Now, her white half sister has been kidnapped and Storm risks her identity to help two marshalls save her sister. The Marshalls in this book are brothers to the hero in book 1 of this series. Series can be read in any order.”
Lost Fortune “Intro on this audiobook is not for Sinclair's LOST FORTUNE. Rather the intro seems to be for Michelle Dare's MY SALVATION.”
Timeless Pleasure “A Western time travel romance brings together Emily (cousin to heroine book 1) and cowboy Brad, who has a dark, transforming secret. If you are a hard core Outlander fan looking for time travel romance, this is an entertaining book, but definitely not as good as a Gabaldon work. Audiobook Addict Warning! Less than half (6 of 14) of this 2017 series is in audiobook format as of August 2022.”
Timeless Storm “This book is #5 in the series, but the story follows immediately after the story in series book #1. Read after book 1, "Timeless Whisper." Both are Western time travel romances. Fun, but with flaws. Audiobook Addict Warning! Less than half (6 of 14) of this 2017 series is in audiobook format as of August 2022.”
Timeless Whisper “Western Time Travel Romance. A 2017 Western time travel romance, complete with Outlander jokes, where a NY baker returns to her Texas small town roots. Hero is not lovable and plot needs editing. But, hard core time travel romance addicts might still enjoy it. Kelly's narration is solidly good, complete with believable gender switching characterizations. Audiobook people beware! This is a 13 book series from 2017 of which only 6 (Aug 2022) are available as audiobooks.”
The Handsome Rancher on The Train “Hannah flees evil step mother's attempts to arrange a marriage to seek her own mail order nuptials with a man in Missouri, but meets Billy, a rancher, on the train. Clean, fun, romance. 2 hours.”
Silver Heart: Longren Family, Book 1 “A clean, lightly Christian Western mail order bride novels with well developed subplots. Longren 1. Silver Heart. 248 pages. 2014. (Maggie and Hutch) Maggie Lucas, Bostonian midwife and mail order bride, arrives in Nevada to see her intended’s mine begin to fail as the silver veins and market play out.”
Longren Family Trilogy: Clean Historical Western Romance “A clean, lightly Christian Western mail order bride trilogy of novels with well developed subplots. Longren 1. Silver Heart. 248 pages. 2014. (Maggie and Hutch) Maggie Lucas, Bostonian midwife and mail order bride, arrives in Nevada to see her intended's mine begin to fail as the silver veins and market play out. Longren 2. Steel Heart. 204 pages. 234 pages. (Matthew and Chloe) Matthew, brother to the hero of book 1, is a new casino owner and considering finding a wife in Virginia City and begin this "Perils of Pauline" style plot. (Yes...but will anyone from the Cartwright family stop by?) Longren 3. Cowboy Heart. 2013. 130 pages. (Kitty and Luke) The story of the daughters of the sister of the heroes in books 1 and 2. When Kitty Collins runs away from her complicated life in Gold Hill, Nevada, the last thing she's looking for is more complications. But complications are exactly what she finds, in the shape of two attractive cowboy suitors. Would work as stand alones. Best read in series order.”
The Thanksgiving Program “Irene tires of providing maiden spinster aunt services to her siblings growing families so she takes a teaching job in a Rockport, Illinois and plans a Thanksgiving program. A sweet, clean, Amish love story.”
Soldier’s Fortune “This review is for Audible...not the author. AUTHOR...AUTHOR!!! Get Audible to fix your book. Audible does not have the chapters in the correct order! I played on both download and streaming. End of book chapters are in this order 15, 17, 18, 16, 14.”
Soldier’s Fortune “I, humbly, disagree with the author/publisher's blurb and recommend you read this series in series order. While each book tells 1 whole story, for maximum character enjoyment, do the series as written. For example, the ending of book 3 makes little sense unless you have done book 2. Book 4 finds Clara and Jasper, lead characters of book 1, struggling after 4 pregnancies have ended in stillbirths and late miscarriages while Jasper still keeps secrets about his past.”
Freedom Forever “In Civil War era Pennsylvania, Cecilia, sister of the heroine in book 1 of the series, is pregnant and betrothed, but not happy. Read/listen in series order. This is book 3 of 4. I am binging this series. The narrator is very good. But, for me, narration would have been better with more convincing female voices and more distinct character differences.”
Siege of the Heart “Read book 1 in series first. This is book 2 OF 4. Jasper and Clara, betrothed in book 1, have their love tested, when Jasper is apprehended as a Confederate deserter and Solomon (Clara's brother) and Cecilia (Clara's sister) attempt to rescue Jasper. At times, in the audiobook, I found the action confusing. This could have been resolved with more differentiation between in the sound of characters, for me at least.”
Little Love Affair “Near Gettysburg in 1863, Clara is trying to help her family's farm survive when she encounters Jasper and Horace, Conferate soldiers injured at the battle of Monterey Pass. Good narration. Clean wholesome love Civil War story.”
The Indian’s Mail Order Bride (Daisy Creek Brides, Book 16) “In the conclusion to the 16 book series, blond blue-eyed Faith, having been adopted by a Native American couple, considers wedding the brother of Daisy Creek's Sioux chief.”
The Indian’s Mail Order Bride (Daisy Creek Brides, Book 16) “In the conclusion to the 16 book series, blond blue-eyed Faith, having been adopted by a Native American couple, considers wedding the brother of Daisy Creek's Sioux chief. Clean. Cultures mixing fun.”

A Bride to Soothe His Heart (Daisy Creek Brides, Book 10) “The Mayor of Daisy Creek finally recruits a new restaurateur to come open a business, but the recent widower must now deal with the Mayor's perpetual advice to order a bride my mail and start a family. Clean. Sweet. Lightly Christian. A nice pair with the series previous book which featured a widow”
Mending the Widow’s Broken Heart: Inspirational Western Mail Order Bride Romance (Daisy Creek Brides Book 9) “A young destitute widowed mother from South Dakota, facing a long winter and possible starvation, brings her two small daughters to Daisy Creek to wed the town's new tailor. Clean. Sweet. Second chance love . I agree with a reviewer above that narrator could differentiate characters by more change in voice.”
Indian Mail Order Bride and the Blacksmith (Daisy Creek Brides, Book 8) “With an innovative and surprisingly creative plots and characters, this novel has a Sioux bride crushing on Daisy Creek's new brawny blacksmith, and bridging their personal cultural divide. Series can be read in any order, but the characters are loveable, so do the series in order to get maximum enjoyment as early series leads do cameos in later books.”
Runaway Mail-Order Bride and the Mayor (Daisy Creek Brides Book 7) “The daughter of an abusive coal miner flees his violence, then escapes being sold into prostitution before landing in Daisy Creek, a mail-order bride town. Clean, lightly Christian, fun read.”
The Mail-Order Doctor and the Sheriff (Daisy Creek Brides, Book 6) “Duplicative. A young woman who has trained at the only medical college admitting women is unable to make her hometown clinic work answers a mail-order bride ad ...This is this book's main premise. While this woman is from Virginia, the plot duplicates many aspects of another book...the variance? The other female doctor was from Louisiana. Both heroines study the way the Sioux use herbal remedies. More originality please!”
Secretive Mail-Order Bride and the Horse Breeder (Daisy Creek Brides, Book 5) “A horse crazy Boston heiress answers a wife ad from a Nebraska horse breeder, but lies about her wealth, in the clean, lightly Christian mail-order bride story.”
Daisy Creek Brides: Books 1-4 “4 Daisy Creek NE Mail Order Bride Novels Daisy Creek is a small town in Nebraska which lost lots of its population to the California gold rush. The remaining city leaders, mostly bachelors, begin a campaign to rebuild the town one mail-order bride at a time. This mail-order bride series is set in Daisy Creek, NE around 1890.  While occassionally historically inaccurate, this is clean, positive hopeful, lightly Christian series.  Read in order for the most enjoyment. Book 1.Scarred Mail-Order Bride and the Widower. A warm, clean tale of Western love between an 18 year old orphan, injured in childhood by a fire, and a small Nebraska's town newly widowed deputy who has 2 very young children. Book 2.Unexpected Mail-Order Bride for the Pastor.   Having done over 25 books from this narrator, Gina Dobbs, and she is consistently very good. I may be shallow, but is a narrator mispronounces a few words or repeats a sentence it disrupts my listening pleasure. Dobbs uses a variety of breath placements, so you do not get that annoying sing-songy pattern. Book 3. The Hopeful Mail-Order Bride’s Destiny. Daphne flees Atlanta after violently rebuffing her daddy-selected businessman intended and heads towards Daisy Creek to become a mail-order bride, even after she receives last minute word her Nebraskan groom is no longer available; in this clean, hopeful, lightly Christian story. Read in series order, but not imperative. Book 4. Enticing Mail-Order Bride for the Banker David, Daisy Creek's bad banker, is forced by an Inheritance/allowance situation with his Dad to seek a mail-order relationship with Eloisa, a New York heiress who longs to be a novelist.”
Enticing Mail-Order Bride for the Banker (Daisy Creek Brides, Book 4) “David, Daisy Creek's bad banker, is forced by an Inheritance/allowance situation with his Dad to seek a mail-order relationship with Eloisa, a New York heiress.”
Enticing Mail-Order Bride for the Banker (Daisy Creek Brides, Book 4) “Bad Banker Seeks to Wed NY Heiress by Mail Order David, Daisy Creek's bad banker, is forced by an Inheritance/allowance situation with his Dad to seek a mail-order relationship with Eloisa, a New York heiress.”
Unexpected Mail-Order Bride for the Pastor (Daisy Creek Brides Book 2) “(For book content summary and review see other excellent reviews above.) Having done over 25 books from this narrator, Gina Dobbs, she is consistently very good. I may be shallow, but if a narrator mispronounces a few words or repeats a sentence, it disrupts my listening pleasure. Dobbs uses a variety of breath placements, so you do not get that annoying sing-songy pattern.”

Also, unlike diet pills, no possible harmful drug effects.”
The Widow’s Mail Order Husband (Birch River Brides, Book 4) “Deputy is Mail Order Husband to Widowed Rancher Book 4 in Birch River series sees the town Deputy, envious of the male friend mail order wedded bliss answer an ad to be a mail order husband to a desperate, recently widowed rancher with an infant and dependent mother-in-law. Clean, sweet, hopeful, read in any order.”
The Lonely Sheriff’s Mail Order Bride (Birch River Brides, Book 2) “Ignore review above. Amelia Rose, the author, has many VERY similar books with similar titles. This is the correct review. Book 2 of Amelia Rose's Birch River series tells us the story of the local sheriff whose mail order bride, who runs away from her father forcing her into a marriage that is more wealthy company merger than new loving family relationship.”
The Pastor’s Mail Order Surprise (Birch River Brides Book 1) “Authors Rose and Whitsby present a more actively Christian story wherein a young widowed orphan faces eviction and runs to the arms of a Wyoming minister to flee homelessness and starvation, even while she bears a secret. Clean Christian. Hopeful.”

Texas Brides Trilogy (Clean Historical Mail Order Husband Romance) “1. ALMA'S Allma, a manish Tex-Mex mixed raxe rancher, tired of running a ranch with her two sisters, contracts for a cowboy mail order husband, but learns post wedding that 1880's cowboys have a hard time with female ranch bosses. (Critique: these three sisters are some of Whitsby's least loveable or believable and the narrator could do female voices and characterizations better, buy 3 hour book is still very enjoyable.) 2. AMELIA'S By far the most likeable sister and couple. 3. ALLEGRA'S Mex-Tex Border Rancher Cowboy Bride Orders Husband. Allegra, a manish Tex-Mex mixed race rancher, havibg watched her two sisters marry mail order husbands tired of running a ranching, contracts for her own cowboy mail order husband, but she has BIG secret and must learns to adjust to a spouse. Mail Order Alice (Western Mail Order Brides) “Lightly Christian. Clean. Mail Order Bride. A warm, clean, lightly Christian, mail order bride story where seamstress bride fights resistance from disabled dad and loving childhood boy friend to travel to Bend, Oregon to meet her contracted mate. SHORT enjoyable, if predictable, story.
