What a thrilling conclusion to a wonderful series!
I binge listened to books 2 thru 7 in this series in 3 days. I’m so glad that the whole series was available in audio. I think Gwendolyn Druyor’s performance of the books just got better and better as the series progressed. She did amazing voices for each of the many characters in this series.
This series is probably best read in order but the author does a very good job of giving you necessary details from prior books so that you shouldn’t feel too lost if you start in the middle of the series.
There is so much that happened in this book that it’s hard for me to recap it. Mikolas was introduced earlier in this series and I had my suspicions that he wasn’t going to be the bad guy that he was portrayed as. As things come to a head with the Titans vs the Muses, we find out a lot more about him and his reasons for being a part of The Order of the Titians.
Trinity doesn’t trust easily. She feels betrayed by a former lover and she feels responsible for what has happened to the Muses. A formerly bad guy finds a type of redemption but I couldn’t have guessed how that redemption happened.
This book was an amazing conclusion to an amazing series. As far as I can remember I’ve never binge read a series like I did this one. I was almost sorry to see it end but I loved how the author wrapped everything up.

Mason’s character is a different take on a wolf shifter. He’s on a mission to find the person he holds responsible for his cousin’s death when he was young. He knows about the Muses and when he realizes he’s Clio’s guardian he risks losing himself to keep her safe. The Order of the Titans continue with their evil plan to kill off the Muses and destroy the theater that they are restoring.
This series is so compelling! I know nothing about Greek Mythology but you don’t need to in order to enjoy this series. The characters explain what you need to know as the story progresses.

Tera doesn’t do people very well. She’s not confident unless she’s dancing or teaching young ones to dance. When the other Muses feel like she’s the next most likely target a bodyguard is hired for her. Gavin is hired to keep her safe. At first, he doesn’t understand what’s going on with his birthmark. He pretty much figures out that when it starts burning it means that Tera is in danger. He has no idea of how it’s connected to the Muses and the threats to their lives.
Tera’s mother is a manipulating, horrible person and Tera had a restraining order against her but it expired. When she comes knocking on Tera’s door Gavin vows to keep her safe from the evil woman. New threats to the Muses come into play and I was left holding my breath many times.

Wow, this one really blew me away. Lia wants to help Cooper lighten up; she loves to make him smile. Cooper has a secret and that’s the reason he doesn’t feel like smiling a lot. He doesn’t understand what’s happening to him and how he managed to heal Lia. The things that are revealed in this book are amazing and The Order of the Titans continue with their evil plan to kill off the Muses.

Neither Reed nor Erica wants a relationship so friends-with-benefits suits both of them. When an ex-boyfriend threatens Erica, Reed finds out what ability the Gods have given him so that he can protect her from her ex-boyfriend and from The Order of the Titans.

Legend of Love

I’m loving this series.
I listened to the first book in this series a year ago and fully intended to continue listening to the rest of the series. I’m not sure why I didn’t do that then. I decided to jump back in because Lisa Kessler will be a featured author at a book convention I’m attending next February and I wanted to get back to this series before the convention; I’m so glad that I decided to continue listening to this series.
If I remember correctly, book one set up the premise for the series. I’ve read at least 300 books since I listened to book one so I was actually surprised at how much came back to me when I started listening to this book. I think this series is probably best read in order to get the most out of it but the author does cover some of the details you need to understand what’s going on.
I don’t know a thing about Greek mythology but I didn’t need to; I enjoyed listening to this very much. The story is filled with mystery, action and secret things and I couldn’t put it down once I started listening to it. The romance for the main couple is solid but the story has what I call a soft cliffhanger. No one is left in immediate danger but the threat that connects all of the stories in the series isn’t yet resolved. I’m ready to jump right in to the next book and this time I won’t be deterred! 😊
Gwendolyn Druyor did a good job performing this story.

Grabbed me and didn’t let go.
Lure of Obsession isn’t my normal go-to kind of story but I am so glad that I listened to this. The premise of the story was interesting and I was intrigued and entertained from beginning to end. Nate is a no-relationship kind of guy. He had a terrible childhood with an abusive father; he has no desire to become romantically involved with anyone. Fate has a way of changing things though. He becomes Melanie’s protector and must save her from the people who are trying to kill her.
This story was full of action and suspense right from the beginning. It also had a nice amount of sexy time and very tender moments with a cute little girl.
This is the first audiobook that I’ve listened to performed by Gwendolyn Druyor and I thought that she did a good job. Some of the male voices didn’t really work that well for me but the main character voices were fine. I’m looking forward to listening to the next book in this series.

Not bad…
This is the first audiobook I’ve listened to by Richard Pendragon (AFAIK, but his voice sounds really familiar) and I understand that it’s the first book written by Jaiyde Thomas. As a first effort I thought the writing was not bad but it was a bit choppy for me in places. I’m sure her writing will improve as time goes on. The story is set in my home town and I didn’t notice any glaring errors in the description of the various real-life places mentioned – always a good thing. The narration really didn’t work too well for me. It’s hard to put my finger on it but I just didn’t seem to hear/feel the emotions that I believe the author intended us to feel and that impacted my enjoyment of the story.

Intermittent Fasting: The Ultimate Guaranteed Method to Lose Weight Fast and Effective

Short and to the point.
Most of the material in this book seemed like it was a cliff-notes version of things gleaned from other sources (which the author gave credit to) but it was nice to get so much information in an easy to listen to condensed version. I thought the narrator did a great job; his voice is pleasant and easy to listen to.

Stay for Me
“Randi Johnson's narrations just keep getting better. His voice is so sexy to listen to and he's not over-emphasizing words as much as I think he did on some of his first books. This is a short novella about an office romance between a short-term consultant and an employee of the company he consults for.
Owen never stays after finishing a job but Addy is tempting him to change that policy.
Addy has a thing for her new temporary boss but before she knows it he's gone.
Will these two find each other again and work things out? Take a listen to this hot sexy story to find out.
A complimentary copy of the audiobook was received from the narrator but no review was requested and the gift did not influence this review.”
Wrecked
“Another hot, sexy short listen.
Randi Johnson knocked it out of the park with his narration of this super hot, sexy short novella. An attorney with a broken down car gets help from a sexy tow truck driver. She helps him out with his car and he helps her out with her court case - and more!
I love these short stories that are entertaining, quick to listen to and HOT!”
The Dating Game
“This got all of my emotions involved.
The Dating Game is the second book in the Parker Sisters series. You could probably read this without reading book one first, but I think you'll enjoy them more if you read the series in order.
I'll start off with the narration. Teri Clark Linden has narrated a few other books by Ms. Eckhart. She really does a wonderful job and made listening to this story very enjoyable. I'm really picky about female narrators and she is one of the good ones.
I really loved this story. Ivy feels like she doesn't measure up to her sisters – her two older ones are now married – and she's self-conscious about her weight (she's – //sarcastic OMG// – a size 12) and hasn't dated anyone in a while.
She now finds herself being pursued by a doctor at the hospital where she works and a man (Chris) she met at her sister's wedding. She gets very confused about her feelings for both men and it takes her a while to realize which one is right for her.
Chris is attracted to Ivy and is very disturbed to overhear her sisters saying unkind things about her weight. He wants to date her but he won't play second chair to the doctor who also wants to date her. Chris has his own business and things aren't going well. This complicates things between him and Ivy and he decides to step back.
Even though it makes me a bit sad that at a size 12 Ivy is considered to be plump, I love that Chris thinks she is perfect just the way she is and lets her sisters have it when he hears them saying negative things about her size.
Everything doesn't go smoothly for Ivy and Chris but they get their HEA in the end and this is my favorite book in the series so far.

In the Charm
“A fun story in the Friessen saga.
I've been enjoying listening to several audiobooks by Lorhainne Eckhart recently. Even though I haven't read the Friessens series in order it really hasn't taken away from my enjoyment of the stories at all. This is my first audiobook performed by Teri Clark Linden and I thought she did a great job.
In the Charm is a pretty short book, just perfect for one evening's enjoyment. This story is about Chris Friessen, younger brother to Danny who was featured in In the Stars. You can enjoy In the Charm without having read In the Stars. In the Charm has a bit of an "insta-love" feel to it, which doesn't bother me although I know that it bothers some readers.
Chris is seeing the U.S. on his Harley, wanting to see everything he can before settling down. He's traveling back roads and visiting small town America when he's pulled over by two small town law officers. They take exception to his riding through their town and have him down on the ground when JD (short for Josephine Denise as we eventually find out 😊) comes along and tells her daddy (one of the officers) to let him go.
The story just gets better from there. It's a modern-day version of a shotgun wedding that had me smiling at times and really enjoying myself as I listened to it. I also had to feel a little sorry for Chris and JD and how they ended up together but it all worked out in the end. I'm looking forward to reading Unintended Consequences which is about both Danny and Evie, and Chris and JD.

Unexpected Consequences
“This one really tugged on my heart and I loved it!
For such a short audio (1 hour, 27 minutes) Unexpected Consequences sure packed a punch with me. While you might be able to enjoy this story without reading any of the others in the very enjoyable The Friessens series, I really suggest that you read books 12 (Danny and Evie) and 13 (Chris and J.D.) first. I say that because Unexpected Consequences is about both of these couples.
The blurb for the story lets you know that J.D. has taken a home pregnancy test but there is so much more to this short story. This one really tugged on my heart and brought on all kinds of tears, some a bit sad, others because parts of this story were just so darn tender.
If you are a fan of The Friessens series you really won't want to miss this one.
Regarding the narration…Teri Clark Linden also narrated book 13, In the Charm and, like with that one, she did a great job with Unexpected Consequences. I've been a bit critical of some of the narrators used for other books by Ms. Eckhart but Teri Clark Linden really does a wonderful job and made listening to this story very enjoyable.

Anything For You
“A sweet short story.
While this is part of the epic family saga, The Friessens, I think it can be enjoyed on its own. I haven’t read Cat and Xander’s story in this series but that didn’t matter. Much like any other young couple, Cat and Xander have decisions to make when they get unexpected news. I enjoyed the banter between the characters. I will certainly be listening to more books in this series.

What We Can’t Have
“What We Can't Have is the fourth book in the Parker Sisters series. You could probably read this without reading the others first, but I think you'll enjoy them more if you read the series in order.
Once again, Teri Clark Linden has given another fantastic performance. She really does a wonderful job and made listening to this story captivating. I'm really picky about female narrators and she is one of the good ones.
This story is about Mason, the youngest Parker sister. She's the smart one and has enough credits to finish high school early; a fact that she's kept from her family. Her sister Scarlett has been horrible to her lately, especially after a man Scarlett was interested in shows an interest in seventeen-year-old Mason.
Justin rides broncs in the rodeo and when he sees Mason and Scarlett together watching him ride, he only has eyes for Mason. Mason and Justin soon find out that they are neighbors and that there is bad blood between their families; Justin's dad wants to buy the land that Mason's family owns.
I don't want to give too much of the story away but there is a lot of hostility in this one as differences between Mason, Scarlett and the rest of the Parkers escalate. Justin is firmly in Mason's corner but the way he and Mason handle things definitely didn't help keep harmony in the family.
This story has a HFN (happy for now) but I hope we hear more from Mason and Justin in the remaining books in this series.

A June Wedding
“Never a dull moment!
I’ve loved all of the books in this series and this one was a great way to end things. Three sisters, three men who love them, and three problems to solve before they can all tie the knot.
This was a fairly short book at only 3 hrs, 49 minutes but it felt longer – in a good way. The sisters each encounter a problem that seems insurmountable and that the weddings will be stopped. But this is a romance so I was confident that Lorhainne Eckhart would fix everything up and she did indeed.
I enjoyed listening to Teri Clark Linden, she did a great job with this one.
