The Truth About Eve (An Eve Sumptor Novel) “"Art is never a guarantee. Make sure that the people in your life are." "Decisions are a strange thing. What you think is the right decision at the moment could turn out to be the worst decision you've ever made." "No one should strive to be someone else. Only the best version of themselves. Even in their flaws, there is perfection." This is the third book in the Eve Sumptor series. It could be read as a standalone, but it is much better to read the previous two books, "Something About Eve" and "Flawed Perfection" to get the depth of the relationship between Eve and Lainey. The therapy sessions with Dr. Woodrow really show us into Eve's inner turmoil. Jourdyn Kelly does a wonderful job showing a myriad of emotions both individually as well as within the relationships. In the first two books, Eve battled some incredible demons. In this book, she is battling her toughest opponent: herself. You will laugh, get angry, probably cry, and cheer! The success of a book is when the author makes you feel. Jourdyn does an excellent job of making the characters believable. I loved the boys' development in this book! Bella was adorable! Tessa Stavers does a great job capturing the emotions of the characters.”
Becoming (An LA Lovers Book) “"Just One More Chapter" Jourdyn Kelly's books are all like that. This is a part of the LA Lover's series, which I highly recommend. "Fifty Shades of Pink" told Cass's side of her and Rebecca's meeting. Becoming tells Rebecca's story in detail. This book is a page turner. There are some challenging issues, but Jourdyn does an excellent job handling those in a realistic way. There is BDSM in the book, so it is not for everyone. In this story, Jourdyn weaves it into the characters lives so well as that is only a part of them. You see many other characters in the book, including my favorites, Eve & Lainey. Be sure to check out the entire LA Lovers collection as you see the characters appear. Blaise as always is a hoot! So is Aunt Wills when she is teasing Cass! Tessa Stavers does a great job capturing the emotions of the characters.”

The Promise “This is about Ali and Susan Jenkins, a happily married couple who get a tragic diagnosis. It was a realistic take into the end of someone's life and the thoughts and decisions. Susan has Ali make her a Promise, which was an act of love on her part. Ali keeps the letter framed on her wall of her office and looks at it every day. You can feel Ali's struggle as she tries hard to move on. Claire Highton-Stevenson is an excellent author and takes you through an emotional journey. Kelsey Navarro's narrating is perfect! Well worth the listen/read. Just be prepared to have tissues!”
