The Bridesmaid Gets Lucky: A Second Chance Romantic Novella “Terrific Story & Audible 🎧4.5 Sweet & Delightful Stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This book is an enjoyable, light hearted delight. It is well written and well told with an interesting storyline that is captivating from start to end. I really liked the two lead characters, Virginia is too funny, when she speaks she has no filter at all. What comes out of her mouth is hysterical. Her recent breakup has left her broken hearted and with some low self-esteem issues. She is a bridesmaid for her best friend and is paired with Sam, a friend of the groom. Same is a nice guy with a sweet disposition. Virginia had caught his eye once before, he not only likes what he sees but he is amused by her quirky personality and snarky mouth. I loved how patient he was with her, letting her be herself and handling her emotions with care. This is a fast paced sweet romance and I loved every word of it. Tessa Bowen thank you for this great story. I listened to the Audible edition, Logan McAllister is a terrific narrator and voice performer. He brings these characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. He does a great job with projecting the emotions of the characters into his performance. Seabreeze Inn “Wonderful Story & Narration🎧 A Heartfelt Delight! Seabreeze Inn Summer Beach, Book 1 By: Jan Moran Narrated by: Erin Bennett I loved everything about this book, from Jan Moran’s wonderful writing style to interesting storylines and characters she created to Erin Bennett’s fabulous narration. The beautiful story flows naturally and the descriptive details are amazing, the author makes you feel like you are right along side the characters seeing what they see and feeling what they feel. The characters are likable and easy to relate to. I adored the lead characters, Ivy and her sister Shelly, as well as Bennett Dylan. The secondary characters are pretty awesome too and contribute a lot to the story. Ivy’s life takes an unexpected turn, she had a life in Boston, a husband, two daughter college age daughters. Then her husband, Jeremy, passes away she learns he had secrets, he not only left her in debt but he had purchased a large property in Summer Beach in her home state of California. She listed the property for sale hoping to pay off the rest of the debt with a bit to spare. Ivy and her sister were heading to California to see their Mom and since the property is not seeing they are visiting the property to see what they can do. Bennett Dylan is the realtor handling the property, she had a crush on him in H.S but he does not remember her so their meeting is less than cordial. Then the unexpected happens, something about the house, calls to Ivy and she decides she is going to keep it. But in order to keep it she has to come up with a plan and that plan includes making it a business, an Inn. She is faced with many obstacles but she is determined to make it work and overcoming them. Including getting the community to accept her, they are skeptical because of her husband and his plans for the property. I loved the history of the property, Las Brisas Del Mar, its previous owner, Amelia. Erickson and what they discovered in the house, I thought it was all fascinating. I admired both Ivy and Shelly, their relationship amongst themselves, their family and the possibility of building new relationships including love interests and most admirable is their courage to start a new life. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is superbly plotted and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, humor, many heartfelt moments and a bit of a slow burn romance. Jan Moran, thank you for this amazing story, I need to visit the “Seabreeze Inn†again and am looking forward to what comes next for these wonderful characters! Paid to Kneel: A Steamy Gay BDSM Romance Delphic Agency, Book 1 By: Romilly King Narrated by: Gavin McAllister I enjoyed this book immensely, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. This is my first book written by Romilly King and it certainly will not be my last. I enjoyed his writing style and his way with words. He created an original story with interesting storylines. His characters are complex and well develped, they are likable, easy to relate to and connect with. I adored the two leads, Richard and Ash, I thought they were great together and for each other. Richard in need of money resorts to the oldest profession, after some research he found the best way to go about it. I could not help but admire him for why he went this route and his dedication to stick with it. Unbeknownst to him he gets more than he bargained for. I was not sure how I felt about Ash at first impression but he grew on me rather quickly. I loved how everything plays out in this book, how their relationship started to become more than just a business arrangement. Speaking of business, I also loved the premise of the Delphic Agency and the Emptor/Venditor arrangement, that you can not buy people, just time. The story is cleverly plotted, there is plenty of drama, some heartfelt and emotional moments, some hot kink and great scening. Romilly King thank you for this fabulous story and for casting the perfect narrator to bring you story to life. I listened to the Audible edition, Gavin McAllister is a talented narrator and versatile voice artist. He brings these characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice which makes it easy to follow along. He does an awesome job portraying the characters, he grasps their personas and plays each role with perfection, sounding just as I picture them to sound. Playing To Win “Terrific Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt! This is a terrific sports romance, it is my first book by Stacey Lynn and it will not be my last. She has a wonderful writing style, she created interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. Her characters are realistic and easy to relate to. I adored the two lead characters, Jude Taylor and Katie Carter. Jude, a right wing for the Carolina Ice Kings, he sustained what could be a career ending injury while playing. He goes back to Chicago for surgery and PT, his family is close by and he could use some time away. Katie and Jude have history, they had a fling while in college, just before he was drafted for team. Katie finished her studies and internship and is currently working at one of the best physical therapy practices in Chicago. When Jude walks in he is surprised to see her, she is the one who got away, the one he always thinks about and none of the woman he has been with since compares to her. After Jude left for training camp Katie deleted and blocked him, she had her reasons. Can she open her heart to him again, will it jeopardize her career if she does? I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted and there is plenty of drama, a touch of angst, a whole lot of heartfelt emotions, some hot loving all leading to a great second chance romance. Stacy Lynn, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I listened to the Audible edition, Liam DiCosimo and Stella Hunter are terrific narrators and voice artists. They were perfectly casted to bring the character to life. They did a great job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. Happy For You “Wonderful Story & Audible Listen🎧 Riveting & Heartfelt! Happy for You By: Luci Beach Narrated by: Poppy Royana I loved this book, it is a wonderful story, one that is brilliantly told. Luci Beach is a gifted author, I enjoyed her writing style and the unique way she presented and plotted the story, going from the “now†to segment of time in the past, giving you a glimpse of their life during that time before bringing you back to the current. I found the concept of the study very interesting, as well as their meetings. The storylines are original, they grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are likable and easy to relate to, I adored both Ciara and Max from early on, wen they first meet. Almost like they were destined for each other but life is never that simple. The secondary characters were awesome too, loved the scene with the crane, too funny. There is never a dull moment in this book, there is plenty of drama, some great humor, angst, heartfelt moments, heartbreaking ones and a wonderful romance a lifetime in the making. Luci Beach, thank you for this wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride, I hope to see or hear more from you soon. This book takes you south to Florida and even Cuba, where the Garcia’s rule, Miguel is next in line to lead the family business. He has dealings with Santiago Rivera in Cuba, importing and export business part of the deal was a night with his daughter Valencia. Miguel is an alpha male, Valencia is no submissive but she does eventually submit. When Santiago wrongs Miguel he takes what is most precious to him, his daughter Valencia. As the plot thickens we see all is not what it seems, there are betrayals, power plays, twists and turns, thrilling suspense and Miguel needs to find out who is behind it all to save his family’s empire. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment and in addition to upheaval in the Mafia world there is plenty of other drama between Miguel and Valencia, the chemistry between them is smoking hot, as she starts to see another side of Miguel she starts to develop feelings for him. She also saw her father in a new light, it was not a good light either. Though I was impressed with what we found out in the end and why he did what he did. For her next report she is working on an exposé of two popular football players, Christopher “Chris†Madden and Walter Sheppard, she knows them from college, they are cocky players and she wants to show the world how they really are. As a top reporter in her field they agree to an interview but not until they get to know each other a little better. Walter and Chris remember her from college and it is not all good and they come up with a plan of their own. The three get together, they get along great and the heat and chemistry between them is smoking hot. Everything goes as plan for the three of them until it doesn’t and unplanned feelings happen. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a fast paced story that is plotted out nicely with plenty of drama, some angst, heartfelt moments and some hot and steamy romance. I adored Echo Duncan, her dedication to her sister and wanting a better life for her taking a waitressing job in a strip club in Vegas. She catches the eyes of the Boroni twins, Leo and Luca, mobsters in the Vegas syndicate. One night Luca sends her on an errand, she returns to devastation, her boss and others were killed. Luca whisks her away on the premise of her own protection. He sets her up in his home and hooks her up with everything she needs. She is unsure of her situation, Luca gains her trust and he explains all about the game and what he wants. Luca and Leo love their kink, each year one of them choose a girl to bring home for them to play with, they keep them for three months and send them on their way. This year it is Luca’s choice and he did not plan to but he started falling for Echo. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is well plotted and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, some angst, twists, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt moments and some hot scening and romance. Twisted Crown “A Heart-Rendering, Gut-Wrenching Story! Superb Narration🎧 Twisted Crown A Tale of a Broken Kingdom By: EL DuBois Narrated by: Sarah Sampino This is a heart-rendering, gut-wrenching story. It is a story that is not easy to get thru and knowing it is based on a true story makes it even more horrific, I could only imagine what it was like for the victim. I’ve worked with victims of domestic violence and know the different atrocities they are subjected to, knowing that does not make it any easier to hear another story about it. But these stories must be told and should be heard by all. EL Dubois I praise you for telling this story, getting out of a bad situation, for surviving, learning to live again and finding your happiness. I loved that the names of fairytale characters were used in place of real names in this book. The lead character is Beauty and it is her story, she is the victim and is subjected to physical, sexual and psychological abuse. Her abuser, her husband is referred to as Beast, he is a sick and depraved person and you will see as the story goes on that his other family members especially his sister and mother are no better. Their daughter is Princess, she too is a victim but Beauty shielded her the best she could. Her grandmother, Beauty’s Mom, Queen, does try to help but sometimes it is hard to help someone when they do not want it, thankfully she comes thru when it matters. My favorite character is the Knight in shining armor. The story is well written and well told, it is a moving story and one that makes you feel like no other can, I had to calm down before I could start to write this review, I wanted to strangle Beast and his depraved sister. Some may wonder and question why do victims put up with the abuse, why do that stay, they may even start criticizing the victim for staying and putting up with the abuse, which is wrong on so many levels. But I get it, they can not understand or get a grasp of what it is like for the victim or what the victims frame of mind is, sometimes the victims themselves do not understand it either. Instead of criticizing maybe show some empathy, let them know they are not alone that there is help out there, they may not hear it or want to but it just may be you who gets thru to them, helps give them the courage to take that first step. Her characters are well developed, you can not help but fall in love them, especially the leads, Molly and Guy. Secondary characters play a strong role in their story as well and they are awesome as well. Amos’ quotes at the beginning of the chapters is a great touch. The storylines throughout are interesting and real, they sweep you in and tug at your heart. The inclusion of PTS was well done too. HJ Bellus thank you for this wonderful story, it has the makings for a great movie, would love to see it happen too. I listened to the Audible edition. The narrators, Jeremy York & Lacy Laurel, are awesome. Thank you for the great listen! Raven Kennedy creates an imaginative world consisting of different realms and beings. The storylines and characters are interesting and well developed. The lead character, is a cupid, she is unseen by anyone and it is her job to make people fall in love. There are other cupids roaming the world, none have a given name, just a number, this cupid is ML. ML is a bit cynical with humankind, jealous she can not have what she give others, she has developed an attitude and has a mouth on her. She gets pulled from Earth and is re-assinged to another realm, the world of Fae. She gets herself in a bit of trouble with the high Prince of the Fae, she escapes him but is left with a spell where she not only can be seen but she can feel and do all the things she wished she could that her cupid body would not allow. Her escape has her falling onto another island, she had visited this island when she first came to this realm and saw 3 males, at that time they could not see her but she named them in order she would kiss them, #1, 2 & 3. These three turn out to be “Genfins†a different type of fae, they are banished from their lands and are doing time in seclusion. They think she is a spy for the Prince. The story gets more and more interesting, there is some hilarious banter coming from ML and angst from one of the males, Ronak, formally known as #1, he stays skeptical of her thinks she is she devil. #2 and #3, Sylred and Evert do not feel the same. The men all have different powers, Evert aka Stitches heals, Syred calms thru music and Ronak’s power is strength. This is my first novel from this author and I loved it, love the humor she includes, the personality she gives her characters and the world and storylines she created. This book picks up where book one ended. Ronak, Syred and Evert are taken out of exile and brought to the Kingdom Island to fight thru royal trials of the culling. The Culling is a brutal survival challenge participants who survive win their way back in to society. Think “Hunger Games†set up in an area where all come to watch. Surviving the Culling is not easy because it is designed by the Prince with intentions of no survivors. Emelle manages to get to the Kingdom Island to be near her Genfins and attend the Culling. She had learned she has a special connection with them where she can not be far from them. She is recognized by the Princess who then hides her in her staff. She meets Okot, one of the Princess’ personal guards and tells Emelle she is his mate. Belren makes an appearance again as well. There is a lot more action in this book, more twists, drama, some suspense, mystery and some hot romances. Emelle continues to be her quirky, cute self who continues to speak her mind. Her Genfins figured a way to calm her down and shut her up, with chocolate. LOL! Hilarious. Thanks for another great story, on to book 3 now! I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Melissa Schwairy & Aaron Shedlock. Melissa continues to bring the characters & their story to life from the pages to your ears. Dancing Queen “Awesome Story & Audible Listen🎧 Iâ¤ï¸Fiona & Stu! Dancing Queen By: Charlotte Roth Narrated by: Stefanie Kay Wow, what a great book, the story is heartfelt, fun and inspirational. I enjoyed Charlotte Roth’s writing style, the natural flow of the story and how her descriptive details brought me along side the characters. I just adored Fiona and Stu, how easy and natural they were together and the bond they formed. Some may say and unlikely pair but they were perfect for each other. They helped each other become better selves and I could not help but root for them. There were some real laugh out loud moments in this book and some sad ones and others that made me angry, especially her sister. I was happy for Fiona when some things get resolved, I was also heartbroken to learn what she went thru. And Stu was just a hoot, a quirky walking calorie counter and such a nice guy. Diane was fun too as were some of the other secondary characters. This story is the type that will stay with you for a long time, it shows you that it is never to late to follow your dreams. I adored the story, it grabbed my attention right away and held it to the very end. The storylines and characters are interesting and well developed. I loved the two leads and the chemistry between them. Sailor had a crush on Saxton in H.S but she was invisible to him, she asked herself “What would it take for him to just notice meâ€. Little does she know their only true encounter left Saxton wanting to know more about her, but she disappeared and she became his mystery girl. Fast Forward 10 years Sailor has excelled in her career in publicity working for a sports team. The same sports team Saxton gets traded to. I really liked that Saxton’s fame did not go to his head and he is still the likable guy Sailor encountered in that HS. school hallway. Unfortunately his bully ex-girlfriend did change for the worse and she comes to town to create havoc for all. Saxon learns of how evil his ex was back then and how he treated Sailor. He pursues Sailor but can he get thru the barriers she has around her heart can he win her over. Will Sailor finally get the boy she crushed on all those years ago, will she allow herself to? This book may be on the short side but E.L Dubois fit a lot of story in to it. There is plenty of drama, twists and sweet romance. There are some great secondary characters too, loved how protective Sailors friends were. Loved the ending too. Thanks for this great story! This book had a different vibe than “Asher Blackâ€, the 1st book in the series, but it was just as great. Niccolaio & Minka’s lives have not been the easiest of one, as their stories unfold and you learn more & understand how they become their bitter selves. Great build up and character development and storylines. The chemistry between them is electric, so much angst, so much banter. Can Niccolaio & Minka find their happily ever after, they can even have one. Read the book, I highly recommend it!! Loved learning more about Mina, Minka’s sister too. It is well written and well told with original storylines that immediately grab your attention and holds it from start to end. The characters are realistic and relatable, I loved the chemistry between the two leads, Rio and Ian. I also loved the dialogue between them. I adored Rio, she is independent, driven to succeed and smart to get out of her family’s toxic environment. I could understand her dilemma and feel her pain. Ian, an overall nice guy, it was nice to see him finally come to his senses. Goes to show you even the smart ones can be so dumb sometimes. Rio and Ian were meant to be, they finally get there but not before there was a lot of drama, angst and roadblocks by the name of Raine. There are some great laugh out loud moments in this story, as well as heartfelt and emotional ones. Kathryn R. Biel, thank you for this enjoyable book. Sara Fields created an imaginative world with equally imaginative characters and storylines. The world dynamics are interesting, the whole concept of alpha, beta’s and omegas, as well as the living in the protected city, the suppression as well as the wilderness. I really liked these characters, Raven, she hid her Omega keeping it suppressed because that is the way of the world. Alex her teammate and only other surviver when the team was attacked while on a mission in the wilderness. With their suppressant meds destroyed their Alpha and Omega surface and can not longer control their sexual urges. Two other alpha’s join in too, Wolf and Ivan making for some hot kinky scenes. I loved the plot twists in this book, as well as the drama, angst, suspense and action that takes you to the edge of your seat. When that alien comes to Dryac to try to make a deal with Bane everything goes array. Can Cara save herself, Bane and her family. She finds a locked room on the lower level but is caught and brought to straight to Marcos who then forces Kassandra to submit to him. He also realized she is a warrior of light and he is determined to Consume her, Body, Mind and Soul. Taking Kassandra by force he does things to her to the point where she is begging for more. Suddenly she is back home in her bed, she does not know how she got there. The story gets more and more interesting, things happen and she has no idea if they are real or in her head. She also has no idea of who she, that her bloodline is a direct descendent of the warrior of light, the light to Markos’ darkness, the good to his evil. Marcos is a vampire and one badass, hardcore Dom who demands to have his way. Markos & Cassandra story is an intense one, it is a page turner and will make your hair stand stand on end. She performs the voices of all the characters, she brings them to life, gives each their own personality and voice. The story flows nicely and as in the past book there is lots of drama, some angst and the start of a great romance. There is some kink, mild D/s as well as plenty of emotions. Sierra loved Ryder most of her life, they were engaged to be married but when she sees him with his ex she jumps to conclusions and breaks up with him, not letting him explain things. Five years pass, she is busy running the ranch with her Dad when he falls ill and then passes away. Her father knew she shared the same love for the ranch as he had yet he wrote a stipulation in his will, leaving her the farm if she agrees to allow Ryder to be the executor. Ryder spent the last five years abroad working with horses in Europe, Sierra’s Dad paid him a visit found out what really happened and had a plan to help him win Sierra’s heart back. Sierra is a strong, independent woman, she does not want to have to answer to anyone, especially not Ryder. But she goes with the plan in hopes she will rid of him by the years end. Ryder has his own plan to get her back, he plans to be firm with her, dominate and spank into submission so she could see how much she still loves him. These two had great chemistry together, you could see when he started to break down her barriers and she started to submit. All this was nicely done, in the privacy of their home and for their eyes only. I liked how it all played out, there is never a dull moment in this book, lots of drama, angst, some twists and hot romance. Secondary characters are great, loved the storylines about saving those horses too. Kink is on the mild side, some punishment and spanking and D/s scenes, nothing hardcore. This is a sequel to “Taming His Cowgirl†which I loved and while you do not need to read or listen to that one to enjoy “Tamed on the Ranch†I highly recommend that you do, it is Ryder and Sierra’s story and an introduction to life on the ranch. Their plans to expand takes off in this book. Ryder has history with Luc, worked with him before and brought him on to the ranch to help run it. Melody Jackson was in a bad relationship and saw an opportunity for a job on the Crooked Creek ranch, working with Sierra as they expand on the business to hold events such as weddings. Melody hits it off with Sierra and she is happy to take the job. She mets Luc and the two find they have great chemistry together. Luc is an alpha male and he shows her how she should be loved and how D/s and discipline really works. Her ex treated her so badly so she was hesitant at first, but he knew what she needed. I liked how everything played out, there was drama, angst, some hot kink and a build-up to a great romance. Thank you Delta James for another great story. Naomi Gains wanted to explore her sexuality, she is interested in a submissive lifestyle and wants to learn more about it, She found a “Dominant†online, Ezra Dean, he trains submissive and introduces them to the lifestyle. Naomi will be spending two weeks with him, his usual run for training submissive and his way to not get attached to them. Naomi fell easily into the role, which suited her fine. Ezra was taken with Naomi right from the start, there was great chemistry between them and she was a natural submissive. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is some intense kink and scenes, feelings were not supposed to happen for either one, it was just a two week arrangement, but what really happens surprises them both. The two became unlikely allies in the tragic situation they landed in as well as when Kayla finds out her long term boyfriend is a liar and a cheat. I liked the chemistry between the two. I really liked these two characters and her friend Sophie too. I also liked how they stepped up to help others when many did not or could not. Hollie Armstrong put a lot in to this story, drama, angst, some thrillling, suspenseful moments, she also lightened it up with some fun moments. Loved the friendships and romance she brought to the story as well. A great YA, enemies to friends to lovers. She also did a great job covering PTSD after they returned home. In the first book, Innocence†Cora landed right into his lap. He had made her feel safe and secure only to pull the rug out from under her. Cora is now stuck in this relationship, she wants it to be more than it is but does not think Marcus will ever see her as anything but a pawn to maintain control in his world. It is great to see their relationship is growing, even though Cora does not see it and has her insecurities. She has a little more freedom in this book and while Marcus is off doing his business she goes off on her own trying to help and do right but she winds up getting in over her head. A lot goes on in this book, there is plenty of drama, angst, action, some suspense and mind-blowing as well as some steamy romance. The characters are complex and well developed, my heart went out to Cora, she had a rough life, kept sheltered from the world. I give her a lot of credit to up and leave her home situation and try to make it on her own. Unfortunately she lands herself in other bad situations. Running away from one she lands herself in to Marcus’s club. Unknowing to her Marcus is the leader of an organized crime family and he takes her into his protection. She falls for Marcus and she is shocked to find out he is not who she thought he was, though a part of her thinks she did see the real Marcus, the one she fell in love with not the one he claims to be. I loved how well plotted this book is, he story is flowing in one direction then bam, the authors throw in that twist sending your head into a spin. There is plenty of drama, angst, some more great twists and some hot scenes. I liked setting of the story and the world dynamics I am looking forward to learning more about it and what comes next for Marcus and Cora. It is his former home town and he is not thrilled to be going back. Making the trip even worse is that his car breaks down where there is no cell service. Finally someone comes driving by and just his luck it is a wrecker truck from a car repair business. He is surprised to see that it is a beauty of a woman driving the truck and even more surprised that she is heading to the place he needs to be, the courthouse. I really liked Katy, I admired her determination to fight for what is hers. I loved the chemistry between them, also love how everything played out, from him helping her with her case to their hot encounter, to how he could not stay away and then the great twist in the end. This is my first book by Adele Niles and it will not be my last. She has a wonderful writing style and fit a lot of story into her novella. The characters are likable and nicely developed. Owen, a consultant was brought in to the company where Addy works, she worked on a project with him for the past year. Addy is quiet and shy, she keeps to herself at work but that does not stop her from having naughty thoughts about Owen. Owen does not get involved with anyone he works with but he has been crushing on Addy, there is just something about her that gets to him. When the project they were working on is over the team goes out to have some drinks. One thing leads to another and the two wind up getting together. I adored the two lead characters, both are authors of romance on the opposite end of heat, one writes squeaky clean the other steamy kink. Stacy Sanders “The Sweetheart of Sweet Romance” and Gage Blackstone is the “king of one handed reads”. The two meet while attending a romance convention in London. Stacy has some serious OCD tendencies and is not an outgoing person, Gage was just the opposite. I loved these two together, they were so good for each other. I thought it was great how Gage threw her off balance having her skip some of her OCD routines. I loved how their story played out, from the working together to the hot romance. Will Gage’s ways steer Stacy to the kinkier side of romance? I recommend this enjoyable story, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a touch of angst and a nice twist where the author keeps you wondering and guessing. Turns out she is more than a Doctor she is a wolf maiden and his true mate. He just has to introduce her to his world and make her a part of it. But nothing comes easy, a rival and evil werewolf wants Maddie for himself, he wants offspring only a wolf maiden can provide. This book is well plotted, there is never a dull moment, with plenty of drama, action, twists, some thrilling suspense and hot romance. Hard Edit Sequel to Black Balled By: Andrea Smith, Eva LeNoir Narrated by: Joel Leslie OMG, I just loved this book, the amazing characters and storylines are entertaining and had me laughing out loud at times. I had thoroughly enjoyed Andrea Smith & Eva Noir’s first book “Black Balled”, Larson & Troy’s story of how they met and became a couple and what a story that was. This is a continuation of their story and the authors continue their greatness. There is never a dull moment, the storylines are filled with drama, humor, a bit if angst and some hot romance. Troy and Larson are unique individuals, each having their own strong personality and when together they could be a comedy act and/or porn stars, not at the same time, well mostly. There are many laugh out loud moments in this book, the authors surely nailed it with the humor. Everything was going great for Troy and Larson, their relationship and their careers are all going well. Troy finally published his book, he even got an offer to bring it to the screen. When the person who wants Troy to sign a contract to bring the book to film turns out to be a blast from his past things start to go haywire, making matters worse is that Larson has history with this person too. Misunderstandings and miscommunication wreaks havoc on their relationship. I was rooting for them, so was Ida, their trusty neighbor with her dog Muffy. You know she will work her Ida magic to get them back on track. BTW, loved Minette and the story behind the name, Troy and Larson sure have nutty neighbors, LOL! Loved Muffy and Minette’s bonus chapters too. I highly recommend this book, it is mesmerizing and enjoyable and you’ll have a smile on your face from start to end. I love how realistic and relatable her characters and storylines are, also love how well she balances humor, lightheartedness with realism of every day life for some. She does this without making light or fun of anything or anyone. I adored, Autumn, she is smart and full of personality. It took me awhile to warm to Dirk Sexton, a typical player, he redeems himself once he gets past his shallow ways. I loved the whole premise of this book, loved how well plotted it is, there is never a dull moment, with plenty of drama, angst, great humor and witty dialogue, some heartfelt moments and a buildup to a wonderful romance. The storylines she creates are interesting and captivating from start to end, I found it difficult to put the book down, I just needed to know what was going to happen next. The characters are complex and well developed by the end you can see how much the characters grew and came in to their own. I adored Peyton, her strength, her ambitions and drive to set out for what she wanted. I loved how she went about working on her thesis. Weston, a popular frat boy and a star hockey player on his college team. He needs help in his English Lit class is assigned a nerdy tutor, Penny Lane, to help him get a passing grade. Penny really knows how to push Weston’s buttons. I loved how well plotted this book is, all the drama, twists and turns, angst, lots of other emotions and bit of suspense and some hot romance. There are some great secondary characters in this book too. This book is another reason why Andrea Smith has become one of my favorite authors. But curiosity got the better of me and I had to give it a try. And I am so glad I did, the story was not like I imagined, it was so much better and so much more. Kate L. Mary is a gifted author, she creates an imaginative world where zombies roam around aimlessly looking for fresh meat. Only a fraction of the living world has survived, resources and supplies are limited and the going is tough. The book starts off with heartache, Regan’s family has been killed, her bother is on his way out. He asks his best friend, Kellan, to look out for her before he passes. Fast forward nine years, they have been living in a bunker type compound with several others and getting by. They go to other settlements to trade for goods they need but mostly stay hidden and to themselves. All that changes when a young girl appears at their gate. Being burned before they reluctantly let her in. They soon find that she draws attention to them and brings them trouble. I liked how this story played out, the camaraderie between the group, how they’ve become each other’s family and look out for each other. I loved the chemistry between Kellan and Regan, as much as they fought it, it was a losing battle. There were some great twists in this story, more heartbreaks and plenty of drama and action. The characters are well developed, they are all likable with the exception of Felicity’s Mom. Felicity’s mother wanted to see her daughter get married. Felicity was in a long term relationship that seemed to be going no where, so when she tells him she wants to take the next step he walks. She turns to her friend Bailey who suggests she hooking up with one of the bear shifters who is in search for a wife. Kyle, is a real catch, he has a successful career and is a sweet and kind person. Felicity and Kyle met and they just click, there is chemistry and instant attraction between them. All is going great but there is only one problem, that being his best friend Hunter. She senses there is more to their friendship, though they do not see it, admit or act on it. Is she in between something that should or could be or is Hunter coming in between her and Kyle. I loved these three and thought they were perfect for each other. Felicity’s mother was a real piece of work, pissed me off how she took advantage of Kyle’s kindness and generosity. I was happy when the truth was reveal and it did not ruin things for Felicity. This is my first book by Kayci Morgan and it will not be my last. There was a time when The Bears of Southoak and Ironshore were one clan, differences in opinions on how to live broke them in to two clans, the Southoak Bears chose to live in modern society with human interaction, while the Ironshore Bears chose to live amongst themselves in the wilderness. River the alpha bear of Ironshore was not well liked by the clan members, they hold an unfortunate incident against him that happened when he was younger. He is also dealing with his own insecurities and resentments, but he wanted to make his adopted parents proud and do things for the betterment of the clan and goes to make a business deal with the Bears of Southoak, who are not a fan of his either. After a successful business deal in Southoak he saves a man from getting hit by a store sign. Darius, lost his wife and then lost himself in alcohol, after hitting rock bottom he finally started to get his act together for the sake of his son. When River saves him from getting hit by that sign there was an instant attraction between them. After some inner turmoil he finally agrees to go out with him. I loved how everything played out between these two, the chemistry between them was smoking. Also loved how River was with Darius’s son. There is never a dull moment in this book, there is plenty of drama, angst, twists, thrilling & suspenseful moments, heartfelt moments and hot romance.
