For a guy that was supposed to be able to discern if someone spoke the truth, Declan comes across as one who mistrusts everyone.
Olivia on the other hand appears an open book. Someone that has known the family all her life, and had spent a lot of time around them, it should also mean that the brothers should know what type of girl she is, and what type of life she leads, outside the family situation.
So, in saying all the above, I really are amazed at some of things Declan "unravels" in this episode.

Flynn comes across as a player, but then again, he seems to have everyone's back. I believe lots of people wear a mask, not truly revealing their real personality to the world, but one that will enable them to keep people at a certain distance. Flynn appears as one of these.
However, Mia is clever enough to see the true nature of Flynn.
Interesting episode.

I may have been too embroiled in other romances to see there errors, but if you are going to write of an era, you need to know the rules society lived by, in those times.

This plus other situations arise to cause the joint attack on the mainland's invading forces to act, sooner than any anticipated, but just in time, for one situation that had become dire.
The aftermath à nd psychological damage done to the mental health of the horse mistress, meant that her two lovers had to perform an intervention, to get her psychics back into alignment with her feeling of safety and security.

In this episode our three intrepid heroes are against a whole range of difficult situations.

With an ability of thinking out side the norm, allows the creative solutions to outsmart a gigantic war machine, with untrained and in some cases, reluctant recruits.
To know the outcome, you need to read this episode, just as the author intended.”

She didn't know what was about to happen, coming for much needed a R&R, but from her first encounter she was intrigued.

There are set backs, but, the angst and drama is worth it, if you just keep the faith.
No, I haven't joined a cult or religious sect. I have listened, and felt devastation and frustration, alongside the characters. But, isn't that how a good story is meant to
make you feel, as part of the story, alongside those that you become like old friends with.
Yes, the penmanship of the author has to be applauded, with how this story wraps around you and pulls you in.”
Dragon Gods (Book 2/3)“It is difficult to sum this particular episode up, without giving a lot of the story away.
There is death destruction and mayhem. A true good versus evil fight to the very end. With sacrifices and loose of those that you have become fimaliar with.
However, we are left we some hope.
I, for one, are looking forward to the next episode, "Dragon Family".
This is a very individual and unique tale. Very different from the normal saga of this type. I appreciate the uniqueness!”

The Dragon Sickness (Book 2/3)“If this was a story about just a boy and girl, with a father that had been shunned by society. It would be an enjoyable read.
Then add a dragon shifter Prince, a peasant girl, with the ability to read a person's health, and then a whole community of dragons, that seem to have caught some infection, which could wipe the whole species out!

However, he doesn't realize who she is, until it's too late.
Too late for what? Well that's the whole crux of this saga.

This is both a supernatural thriller and an erotic romance, very fast paced and explicit.”
Sherlock Holmes and the Montague Murders“This story is set out as acts in a play, but it is a murder mystery, using the methods of Mr Conan-Doyle and his characters of Mesrs Holmes and Watson, and their art of deduction.
As usual, it's a convoluted plot, that keeps the viewer guessing until the last.”
Bill Gates: A Biography“I doubt whether there would not be anyone that would not recognize the name of Bill Gates or Microsoft.
However, this short but detailed account of Mr. Gates' life, gives the listener a perspective of the impact of this man and his business acremen.
Perhaps the original nerd, Mr. Gates was able to utilize the power of coded language and see a need for an operating system, that would downsize the computers of the time, but maximizing their computer power.”
Highland Honor – Scottish Highland Romance“A gentle nurtured love kindled when they were young, growing as they matured. He did not rush her, although his animal lust would have wanted to.
However, clan laws were clan laws, and they were supposed to abide by them, even when they saw the fertility of the deaths.
He had learnt strategy, and when needed, he used it.
Yes good story, worth listening to.”
The Purloined Letter“I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title.
I was touched how this tale was similar in the "voice" as Sherlock Holmes. It may be those with the art of deduction may all sound the same, when they explain what is obvious to them, but not to us lowly peasants.
Anyway, it was an interesting story, with a touch of light hearted banter thrown in.”
Sweet Death“This is a very short, but enjoyable tale, showing the laid back attitude of South sea islanders, and their very different thought processes from that of, say, English people.
Loved the narrator's vocalizations of the various characters.”
The Last Horseman“A group of retired police officers, finding that the "system" often allowed crooks to "get of jail", from the exploitation of loopholes, or the flaws in the documentation that the police had to submit, to gather evidence.
So, a group of four, calling themselves the "four horsemen",plus a seeker, examined the various cases and where a really ruthless person had "gotten away with it", they meted out justice, in such away, that the homicide squad had no reason to question what they could put down as an obvious scenario of death.
This comes to a halt , when one of the last two horsemen called it quits. The Last man, however, trying to tidy off the last cases, finds that more than the original five were in the know, and that what had originally been an altruistic quest, now had served as a self centred method to gain money, using the four horsemen's expertise.”
Love Before Honor“A knight intent on avenging his lady's honor, is transported to another time and place.
A young lady, confronted by a man in armor, isn't as aghast as one may think.
Together they bonded, her convincing her parents to house the young man, in Christmas goodwill, and he offering refuge from unwanted advances to her, by a lectous suitor.
It's a grand tale of love and honor, of faithfulness and magic potions.
I think, if you like knights, and time travel and Regency Romance, you will enjoy this yarn!”
Magic and Misconduct: A Paranormal Academy Bully Romance“Yes, a new school, for a young woman from a small town, who has finally gotten her dream: to attend a college that was shifter oriented.
Not only were the new classes different and daunting, but the attraction between her and a number of young men, well, that was something this young lady had never experienced.
However, there is something sinister lurking around campus, that is putting them all at risk.
It is a cliffhanger, so be prepared to be left wondering, until you read the next in the series.”
The Truth Will Set You Free“Although I write reviews, I don't read them, and I also don't read the blurbs on the various books or audiobooks.
Therefore I listened to this audiobook last night and marveled at the author's ability to put into words the feelings of these two people, who were so attracted to each other, but for one's inability to cope with the stigma, their one time of yielding to their attraction had been the last.
Now, due to an emotional day, they were again in each other's company. Can they sort out their barriers, so they realize, that being with that certain person, is life changing.

Disarming Amy“Eugene, (Gene), had come to a cross roads, continue being the dutiful son and have his father further his wealth through Eugene's arranged marriage to a woman Eugene disliked, intensely. Or, go out and find his own wife, his own destiny.
Yeah, not a difficult decision really, so, together with his best mate, he went exploring, incognito, to find some one that loved him for himself and not his wealth and name.
It is an amusing tale, of how he encounters his lady of choice, it definitely a story to read or listen to.
I enjoyed it, I believe if you enjoy this genre, then you should enjoy this tale.”
Hope Eternal“A daughter that believed she had been abandoned, now approached by the very person she blamed for her feelings.
The husband, who loved and cherished his new wife, didn't want to do anything to cause a rift in that relationship, but needing to understand what had caused his wife's feelings of abandonment from her parent, as well as, finding out the other side of the story.
It could all come asunder, but hopefully Christmas magic may spread goodwill and cheer to these estranged relationships.

It must have taken courage for gentlee women to cross a continent, in times when traveling unescorted was frowned upon. However, many were escaping unsuitable situations, praying that what they were heading to would be better.
With a shortage of "God fearing" women, a man really didn't know what would land on his doorstep, when asked a bride to join him.”
Calm Surrender“A young woman had a secret, but she also has a beast of a man obsessing over her.
However, as fate would have it, another bigger beast, who under current conditions appeared tamed, had also been attracted to the young woman, 3 years earlier. Now, on renewing her acquaintance, he was again enchanted by her. Fate brought them together, and she knew which beast she would trust.
You need to read the book, and my explanation will be crystal clear.”

To say more, gives a way a very intriguing tale, but this story is well worth the effort of either reading or listening to it.”
Lost Fortune“She arrived to unexpected tidings, and although she survived, even thrived, there was something missing.
A look, that's all it took, and fate had stepped into both their lives. Yes there were difficulties, but well, you need to read, or listen, to the whole tale, to enjoy this wonderful uplifting story.”
Christmas with the Biker“One bad experience on Christmas, kind of turned the thought of joy of the season to sadness.

Luring the Biker“As usual, rivalry between clubs caused deaths and mayhem.
This episode we have the patched -over Gold Pipers of St. Paul, formally Steel Bandits defending themselves from the Blood Angels.
There's a wicked plan to use a doppelganger of the St Paul's VP to try and caused disruption and chaos in the newly reformed club.
It's a romance as well as a drama, with heart stopping moments on both fronts.”
The Armchair Detective – Series One“Using an old man, and a newspaper reporter to reveal a long kept secret, is a very canny trick. It keeps the reader or listener engaged as the plot unravels.
Having a number of possible scenarios for the interest in the derelict flats, just muddies the waters, until the true reveal occurs.”
Sherlock Holmes and the Claw of the Raven“Okay, the previous episode left many questions up in the air, but this episode answers all of them.
I won't give the plot away, but it is good to know there is something far sinister than a couple of individual deaths playing out.
Yes, for all the tom foolery, this ends in a satisfying conclusion.”
Sherlock Holmes and the Society Spiritualist“This particular "mystery " left me still up in the air, about the spiritualist and her involvement in the "Dolly" apparition.
Perhaps the next episode should shed more light and answer my questions.”
Sherlock Holmes and Lestrade’s Irregular Investigation“Please be aware that this is only a very short audiobook, of less than hour.
Detective Inspector Lastrade had already solved a murder investigation, when Holmes, at a loose end, butted in.
He found some oddities but.. well you need to read or listen to the entertaining rendition of this story.
I believe you will find it a short, but engaging tale.”
Sherlock Holmes and the Spring-Heeled Tiger“With the redoubtable Dr Watson, Holmes looks at a murder of gentleman of some note. All clues seem to point to the tiger from the circus, but Holmes doesn't believe that to be so.
A rather light hearted theatrical performance for Holmes and Watson.”
Prymus: Armageddon“Yes, it's chaos, which I suppose war is, but to keep track of the various war forums, and who is with the good guys and who is the bad collaborators, it is mind boggling!
Also, shocking that whole worlds would be vaporized. Yes, I suppose this would be what war amongst advanced worlds would be like.”
The Key to Murder“This was an intriguing tale, about an area a lot of people would like to visit, for historical and cultural reasons.
Then to add the mystery of the key and book, then some. Well, it adds to a nail bitting drama in the end.”
15 Minutes“This is very much a young person's book, with a lot of upscale items and phrases.
This being said, it was a very involved mystery that our two intrepid P.I.s were trying to solve.
It highlights the difference between the make believe of Hollywood and the possible dangerous world of true life.
I must say, I enjoyed the jaunty feel of the tale, and the few dramatic sequences were spellbinding. Often it is easy enough to get characters into a tight spot, it's getting them out, in a believable way, which is hard. This author mastered these problems and more.”
Retribution“Harry was intent on making someone pay for his brother's death, that would have been retribution. However, his father had made him promise to not take the law into his hands, but to obtain justice.
It's one heck of a story of two alphas trying to get the upper hand, knowing one, Harry, wouldn't stop until he had achieved his objectives.”
Family Matters“This is a murder mystery, a hundred years in the past, to be solved with very little in regards as clues and only gossip for testament.
Harry helps Amanda with an inheritance that includes an isolated hotel, in Maine. There is speculation about her grandmother and grand step mother's deaths. Part of the bequest is, that Amanda and Harry look into the incidents of death for her forebearers.
This is a very different Harry Starke episode, showing Harry out of his normal environment and thrown into situations that has him questioning his own sanity.
Another intriguing yarn, that have you trying to out think the feisty P.I.”
Gone“A missing girl, a police chief's daughter, no less. Harry is asked to find her.
However, there's a lot more going on at the elite college that the young woman had attended, that just the one missing student.
Harry, along with Kate, get into and out off a lot of tight jams.
How the case gets solved, well, that's something the author will reveal as the plot is revealed.”
Checkmate“Harry is commendered into helping an over worked Detective Kate, with a woman who was found dead, just off the golf course.
Harry, finding that the woman's husband had died from a heart attack 12 months earlier, went on the alert.
All friends and acquaintances felt the guy had been super fit, and was surprised that his heart had failed.
Harry wasn't surprised to find his wife was stating, to anyone that would listen that he had been killed.
So the saga had begun, but it became a very complicated and complex list of suspects.
Yes, another engaging tale of murder and misdirection.”

The House of the Sphinx“Yes, the first part of this story really does mirror a tourist trip to Cairo and beyond.
However, the "normal" tourists' experience is then lost, as sinister plots to eradicate the "infidels" start to take over this tale.
Plus, writing this review, whilst the world is in turmoil from Covid-19, the containment strategy for a virus with a known vaccine is not the same as one that has scientific research scrabbling for a cure.
If this review makes little sense, it will, once you either read or listen to the complete story.

Dark Visions“Yes, it seems incongruous that a blind man could help in a police investigation, but by using a newly minted police detective, who was willing to learn from someone who had done it all, then you have the perfect detective duo.
The crime committed was, in one respect, personal to each but also of a string of crimes that had yet to be solved by the FBI.
A new set of eyes, with almost complete recall ability, partnered with someone that had the ability to read a clue, and the responses of suspects for the truthfulness or lies.
Together with the Raven "Po", who had an ethereal quality about his exchanges with the two.
Yes, it's a very good read!
Then, adding the abilities of very good narrator, you have a compelling listening experience!”
Christmas at Darcy House“Irrespective of what variation, Darcy and Elizabeth seem to fit together, like a hand in a glove.
Hard to say if I enjoyed this version more than the original.
I listened to the audiobook of this title, and found the narrator did a "rather bang up job" of the various characters vocalizations. It does add so much more to the tale.”
Digging Up Trouble“Another murder, another couple of suspects that need assistance.
Although Verity's assistance sometimes could be hazardous to her health.
A good tale, well presented by the narrator. This is turning out to be a good series.”
From Garden to Grave“I actually read this book, and then reviewed it.
I found this a very interesting murder mystery, because, unlike most mystery books of this type, we have a naive you woman, who is a known introvert, that is plunged into situations that should have freaked her out, but she had, through reading self help books, learnt various mechanisms to cope. Plus, unlike most detective type mysteries, this young lady didn't always work out who did it, in fact, she failed miserably. Her theories were often spot on, it was the proving those ideas, she often ended up being very embarrassed when caught.
Yes, I did enjoy this tale, and look forward to listening to the audiobook for the next in the series.”
My Possessive Bodyguard“A family under stress, brings in bodyguards to protect the individual family members.
One is attracted to his assignment, but she is also attracted to him.
Due to circumstances, they are pushed together, alone, familiarity arises with close quarters.
However, ideals are still intact, until..
Yes it's a story worth reading/listening to. I found the narrator on the audiobook, did an excellent job of portraying the various characters, adding a further dimension to the overall experience.”
The Reckoning“A commander of an elite force "Backlight", questioned his objectives, and had his team wiped out. He only survived due his grim determination and the help of some Christian souls.
Now, these same good people needed his help, to stop an evil, that believed in superior beings, that had a devine right to rule.
Off course they are after an ancient manuscript, and they are willing to kill to get it.”
The Girl from Whitfield Hall“This is set in the era of world war I, a time when the differences in the classes were blurred. However, the difference in what women were allowed to do, and what men were able to do, was a very wide gap, as far as most societies were concerned. Therefore, to have a upper class lady, dressing as a male and doing the duties of a male detective isn't a very hard thing to imagine.
Being able to slip from male to female personias, was advantageous, as the saga unravels.
An interesting tale, with the audiobook narrator giving further dimension to the overall experience, by the use of different accents for each character's vocalizations.”
Scratched Off“Multi scenes, switching from killer's viewpoint to that of the agent working the case, which gives very different perspective of the killing, and the motivation behind them.
This story deals with a relationship perspective, where the killer is known to multiple people, who also have different relationships with one and other. A very interwoven story, and even a surprise at the end, that I believe none would have seen coming.
The narrator does a fantastic job, with varied vocalizations for different characters. It adds another dimension to the overall experience.”
No Time For Goodbyes“She had left the small town, trying to pursue a dream of a nursing career, that she felt she never would have a chance at home. He let her go, although she broke his heart, but knowing he couldn't hold her, from her dreams.
Now, she needed to come back, as her mother needed her. He made the call, and didn't know what would happen next.
Yeah, excellent tale!”
Baskets & Caskets“Although the previous episodes had murders and poison that imitated death, this is the "all will be revealed" episode.
That's not to say the other episodes could be missed, as this is a story of a real life scenarios, that certain things happen, causing the next sequence of events to occur. So the whole series is the complete picture revealed.
So who is the murderer? You'll have to read the author's rendition to find out! Super Cool!”
Brooms & Tombs“Although the previous episode reveals a murderer, they also revealed that were being paid by someone. That person is manipulating things that are making the players in the local high school to turn up appearing dead.
There's more to that situation, but the best idea is to read the author's rendition of the tale, rather than my inadequate synapses.”

Loving the Biker“Yes, as with all parts of Society, there are those of good and bad characters. Unfortunately, the majority of society seem to have preconceived notions of those that ride motor bikes, and band together in a group, for mutual comradeship and friendship.
This tale shows a female detective, who has a hassle with a fellow colleague, and has meet, and is attracted to a member of the Gold Viper motor bike club.
I know which of these characters I would put my faith in.

The Duke’s Governess in Disguise“I had listened to the other episode in this series, and was concerned when this one commenced, as the first chapter is the same as the previous episode. However, once the backstory was re-established, then this tale from Emily part of the switch is told.
Both stories are dramatic and romantic, with a touch of humour thrown in.
I recommend this series to any who are interested in the Regency Romance genre.”

Now, the same MO as that perp, was in another serial murder case, but this time in Scotland. So that's where the British Police sent Milli, after all, she knew the previous case better than anyone else.
However, there was opposition from the existing staff, as well as someone tampering with evidence and computer files.
Suspense and explosive drama sees a possible lose of Milli, as the killer sought revenge.
Oh,the romance was somewhat hot as well!
This series just gets more intense with each episode.”

He received one of her packages, including an introductory letter. Her sense of humour appealed to him and he responded.
It was just coincidence that he lived across the road from his grandmother and next leave he ran into her.
Yes, that would have been an excellent story to there, but there's more to this tale than just a romance and the author's rendition of the story is far superior to mine.
It's dramatic and suspenseful, with a bit of a twist in it.

This was a very thoughtful groom, willing to wait for his wife to come around. Again, I wonder how many of such marriages were as understanding and considerate.
The story itself was interesting and felt homey and true to the time period.”

Having been on a couple of guided tours, it's interesting to view things from their point of view.”
A Lady’s Powerful Duke“Ah, thank goodness, w don't still live in a time of arranged marriages, although, I believe this still some cultures practice.
I don't doubt, as in this story, many parents believe they are doing the best for the woman involved. However, not all suitors are like the Duke, as portrayed, and social and economic benefits are often taken precedent over the welfare of the young woman. Such, unfortunately, appears human nature.
The music between chapters, detracted from the overall experience, as well as one area, where editing should have occurred.”

Although not religious, even though it deals with topics that are of a religious nature, it is more a following of two trainees, and their options and trials in securing their final graduation.
Although a different type of book, to the norm, I found, through the audiobook version, an interest in the drama and intrigue on the backstory, similar to any government agency, with spies and superior personnel issuing orders to subordinates, which they demand total adherence to their cause.”
